Great service and the beer is cold. Had some chicken fingers and they were tasty. I go on Wednesday night for the line dance classes. Lots of fun.
Awesome venue for a good show ????The food was fantastic ( Try the pulled pork " Pocket " ) The staff was on point and took care of our needs....We had a lot of fun.

Wow, on the positive side, this place hosts truly some of the very BEST variety of music and musicians and bands in the entire Phoenix area (and I've been to many) but on the negative side, the volume of the music will split an eardrum and forget being able to communicate with your friends over the blasts. On the positive side, they do a great job of posting and updating their official website so you can PLAN your entertainment. If you want to hear great music with a nice atmosphere and dance floor, this is the place. However, on the negative side, and the only reason for a score of 3 instead of 5: the volume of the music the night we were there August 13 was too loud to even be able to speak to your friends unless you leaned over and yelled directly into their ear from one inch away. Such a shame. We paid for tickets online, arrived early, and left just 20 minutes after the music started out of fear of a busted eardrum. Never mind trying to meet new people and have any sort of conversation... impossible. Imagine this: "Hey, would you like to dance?" and the person answers you back, "What did you say, you like my pants?" NOT! The large band could have easily played an auditorium, but unfortunately we were in a small bar. The group of people we dance with like to be able to chit-chat a little, at least to be able to hear someone when they ask, "Want to share some nachos?" so we will probably not be going back to Cactus Jacks ONLY for that reason. Everything else about the place was awesome: EXCELLENT waitress and bartender service, gorgeous dance club atmosphere with a variety of table sizes and height, tablecloths, digital light-dimming candles on the tables, 3 big screen TVs to show the performers closeup, limited dance floor, friendly employees, in-house security, friendly front-door greeters like Mary, many typical bar-type food options on the menu, and fair prices for the performance tickets.

went here with a friend to go line dancing. this happened to be the only week they weren't having it!! ahahah that did not deter me though, instead they had phoenix fest and 7 bands performed. my friend and I ate fried green beans (highly recommend omg they were so good). I'll have to come back next week for the actual line dancing portion, so will update aha. all in all had a great time with good food, friends and music.
update: ah!! line dancing was amazing!! I had so much fun, Carrie was our instructor and she was so supportive and the group was amazing. I loved it here. I already bought boots for next week's class!!

My spouse and I went for the first time to this local bar, for the Price tribute show. Got the 30 mins prior to the 8pm show start time only to find most tables "reserved", although several remained open for another hour. We were told we couldn't move to one at 9pm, so we found two open stools at the end of a table occupied by others. We ordered a pizza, which was the best part of the night. The opening band was alright, but went on 45 mins late. The "Prince" singer - and I say that very lightly - finally went on about 10pm. This dude did not look, dress or sound like Prince. He wore jeans, a wrinkled white shirt, purple suit jacket, white vans and a sequenced purple head scarf. Seriously? $20 cover per person for that??? That's not honoring a legend. Just sad Cactus Jack's.

A party and dance place featuring live bands of many genera. Fast food and drinks at prices below average. More bang for the buck! Last night was the 70th birthday for the lead guitarist of Mantis a recording 70's band.

Cactus Jack's 1st Annual Three Day Music Festival was awesome! Local vendor booths had great stuff to choose from. The bartenders and waitstaff did a great job keeping up with patrons orders. Security provided was good. Best of all the music was fabulous.
Thank you Gina and Art for an amazing weekend.

Great drinks, great service, and great prices during happy hour. They have a typical bar food menu but in addition they have a daily special or two that you wouldn’t expect to find in bars. For example a pulled pork calzone or a fried chicken dinner. Lastly I wanted to mention their live music and line dancing. Recommend
