A neat and tucked away well-known establishment suited for all sorts of occasions. Chloe and Marisa our waitresses were awesome at working with a large party. Great catering style pretzel bites, kayle salad and ribes prepared from the Kitchen mixed in with corn-holes made for a good time. Thanks CD & Fox

Today's review: Culinary Dropout at the Yard in uptown Phoenix..... This place is nonstop busy! The parking lot is always filled during the late afternoon and evenings. A former motorcycle garage converted into a couple restaurants housed in the same building. Made my reservation online and was instantly seated upon arrival. There is a huge bar in the center of the building with massive crowds gathered there. On the left is an open kitchen where you can see a team of chef's preparing food. The atmosphere is that of almost a nightclub: very dim lighting, very loud conversations from every corner of the restaurant and music in the background. You have to raise your voice to talk to people at your own table or even to the server. For the amount of people there the service was quite good. The server was attentive and usually made table visits every 5 minutes or so. Going off recommendations from online reviews and the server we started with the pretzel bites and for the main course the fried chicken. The pretzel bites were delicious! I believe it was 8 bites and a side of cheese. The cheese could have been a little warmer and for $16 we could have had a few more pretzel bites in the bowl. On to the chicken, very good crisp and nice portion! With choice of white or dark meat or as is with both meats. Meal comes with mashed potatoes,Cole slaw and a biscuit. The biscuit was also delicious, mashed potatoes were decent and the cole slaw went untouched (never liked cole slaw ????. Overall the meal was good.......but the temperature of everything was like warm. I was expecting a light burn from the cheese for the pretzel bites instead it was colder than the pretzel. The chicken was also luke warm, like it sat on a counter for 10 minutes before I got it. The mashed potatoes, same problem with the gravy just stuck in a clump...and honestly the biscuit was cold ???? which I wasn't expecting at all. When I think of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and a biscuit I think of warmth. Instead it was a lukewarm meal that had it been a hot meal could have been outstanding.

The vibe and atmosphere never fails. Sadly, my all-time favorite Fried chicken this didn’t hit the mark tonight. This has always been my go to dish (and most of yours) at CD, however chicken was very dry and a requested side of honey couldn’t save it. Asked for new fries, got new fries and got charged for new fries. Soggy both times. When the first chicken was served so quick, that was the first sign. Normally takes time to create the magic.

Arrived hungry, left full but a little disappointed.

With all that said, won’t hesitate to return.

Gave this a 4 only due to the fact it's so loud you literally have to shout to talk to the person in front of and next to you. Other than that the vibe and people are awesome! Food is super good although depending on what you order it can send to be a bit on the salty side but other than that I would highly recommend. Been here twice and will be back. Hopefully will check out the outside area where all the games are

Great experience as always! My favorite thing I had tonight was the Room Service cocktail. It was simply delightful ! For dinner i ordered the chicken katsu sandwich and was extremely pleased. Flavors were great. Others in our party ordered the Mac burger and the fish and chips everyone enjoyed their meals.

Went here on a whim and really enjoyed the experience!! It was SUPER busy on a Sunday night. We sat ourselves at the bar, ordered a drink and food. Everything came out pretty quickly considering the amount of people that were in the restaurant. Everything was delicious as well! Will be going back for the pork belly nachos

Dropped by the location of Culinary Dropout because we were looking for a restaurant to grab a quick bite and I'm glad we did. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice, he made us a bomb custom grapefruit drink. We ordered the house chips which is always my go to for appetizers, it is so good and that dip that comes with it is to die for. For our meal we tried their chicken falafel wrap and it was really good, I will definitely try it again on my next visit. Food came out quick and delicious ????. Thanks guys for the great food and service ????????

I had a great time during happy hour. It was clean, friendly, and festive. The service was incredible had more than one bartender check in on me. The parking lot is quite large but get there before the valet service starts and street parking is limited.

Pretzel with cheese was good and so were the desserts. The fried chicken was not my favorite. The butternut lasagne was really good according to my son.

This place met my expectations and Meagan was the cherry on the top. She recommended my drink, they cured meat, and my entree. And all of it was delicious. Even my friend I got the chicken falafel and wasn't going to get the sauce. Ended up eating every last bit of it. I definitely recommend you go here and sitting outside. I love the vibe, good time for anytime.
