Total waste of our time. Both hot Nashville orders were either completely or near completely missing the hit Nashville sauce we paid extra for. That was sort of the whole point is trying here. ????
Would never have visited if we knew how weak they would service our group order
It would honestly be hilarious if we weren't so hungry and disappointed

This is the most pathetic lunch. Smh I can't believe they are charging 14.99 + tax for 1 piece of fish that they cut on half and potato salad. I got more sauce than food. Nasties potato salad I've ever had in my life. McDonald's fish filet taste better than their fish. I'm disgusted. I will NEVER return to this place.

Best in the west! Don't doubt just try it. If you like tangy sweet & spicy Tennessee style BBQ and meat you don't have to chew this is your new favorite spot. Been going for 25 years and never disappointed. The food coma is real though.

Everything was super tasty! The spicy potato salad and coleslaw were great sides to accompany beautifully prepared meats. Will be back to try the rest!

Two sandwiches, two sides and two drinks all for over $40, if the food was good it would have been worth it. Tried the brisket and pulled pork and sadly both were dry and unseasoned. The sauce had to save the meat but even that wasn't great. Mac and cheese was not seasoned either so just normal taste. Overall not worth the price to me, just go to dickies for same quality. Also: THEY NO LONGER SERVE CORNBREAD.

This place is horrible. I have been there a total of 3 time. In 2017 it was decent. I went back with my mom in 2020/2021 we complain about the food amongst ourselves but we ate the food, especially considering what we paid for it. I went back today 2/14/22 (only bc all the other black owned bbq restaurants are closed on Monday) to eat with my sons for Valentine’s Day. I order 3 kids meal ..2 ribs one side and a small drink and a spicy hot link.
To began, the presentation of the food, well there is none. None of the food is actually grilled. The greens were horrible the flavor is unexplainable, it’s like the seasons their using aren’t a good mixture. My boys eat greens and my boys EAT baby …they both took about two bites and were done with them. my youngest took two bits out of ONE rib and was done. My oldest took 2 bites out of each rib and was done.
The spicy hot-link was two skinny hot-link slices in half and heated in the microwave place on a COLD REGULAR HAMBURGER bun! HORRIBLE.
Ellen was playing on the TV and it felt as if I was at home. I wanted to feel like I left the house and from the atmosphere to the food it was absolutely basic. No Passion. The food has worsened over the years. On top of all that there was a lady who look as if she walk by and found some where to hang out coughing and everything. I spent all of 20-25 mins in there
I threw left over ways I was pretty upset about spending my money. I 100% regretted it and I will never return or recommend this restaurant.
Lo Lo’s Chicken and Waffles it is until I can find something to top that, but I hate to even risk it at this point. $40 down the drain.

My husband and I ran into the owner Mark at Sam's Club. We spoke with him and mentioned how we've been really wanting to try this place! He told us how he was the owner and has been run for 35+ years. It's five mins from our house so we had to make a stop. We both got the shredded chicken sandwich, I got coleslaw and my husband got the baked beans as sides. The bakes beans is one of the best things I have ever had, zingy and sweet! The coleslaw was obviously homemade and delicious! The shredded chicken was so juicy and smokey and paired perfectly with the Bbq sauce. Everything was absolutely delicious! We definitely recommend this place!

What can I say I just ate there again for about the hundredth time another fine lunch at Honey Bear BBQ You know you've had a good meal when you have barbecue sauce all over your phone not to mention the catfish I can't pass it up You've got to try it if you've never have you'll think you're back in the Midwest!!

I swear he gets better every time I eat there and there's a reason why he's right across the street from the post office so you can mail you some home Yes that's right walk across the street and send you some honey bear BBQ home to your house so you'll have some there waiting when you get there or do like I do and eat a sandwich while you're waiting for them to make you a sandwich and then take it home and act like you haven't ate yet lol got to love Mark man he's great guy good food oh my gosh and a Kool-Aid I can't talk no more my mouth's full I love it The best the best the best if this was a fortune 500 he would have all the places locked in excellent ????????????????????.

Paid 20 bucks, brisket sandwich and 3 sides and two i thought came with the sandwich. Meat was cold, bbq sauce i didn't like they need more than one flavor, collard greens was not good, mac and cheese was good and potato salad was terrible, it was super noisy in the dining area kids running everywhere won't go back. Food is a joke tbh

So today i wanted to support a black owned business show my support and the food was horrible i ordered a beef brisket sandwich with mac n cheese. Well instead of a sandwich i got brisket in a cup with no bread the mac n cheese was just noodles no cheese my wife ordered catfish in which it was very cold and tasted funny hope we dont get sick. Also the customer service pure trash, when i called to inquire about my order i was told i have to make my own sandwich so whats the point of advertising a brisket sandwich when u only get brisket no bread im sooo disappointed and would never order from u guys again unless i got a full refund plus a better meal how can i support my own when my own treats us like this
