A great place for delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine.
This restaurant is located in a VERY ghetto area (????), BUT DON'T LET THAT FOOL YOU!
Although their food is a bit pricey, with prices ranging from $15 - $75+, they have a huge menu to choose from and the food is really good and made incredibly fast. When my party of 6 arrived, the place was almost completely packed and yet our food was cooked and served within 15 minutes of having ordered!
The service was also great and our waitress was very nice and attentive as well.
All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant if you don't mind the ghetto scenery and spending a lot for some great Mexican food.
Pros:
- Great tasting authentic Mexican food
- Cooked fast
- Everyone speaks Spanish and English
- Outside Patio seating available
- TONS of (very) spicy food and even a ghost pepper meal challenge where you can win a free t-shirt (if you're REALLY into spicy food)
Cons:
- Somewhat expensive (Spent about $350 for a party of 6: $$-$$$)
- Ghetto neighborhood with available parking behind the sketchy laundromat next door
- Have to make an effort to stay away from spicy food, if that's really not your thing
- Can get a bit crowded/cramped, but they do have a lot of tables to sit at both inside and out.
This place has by far the best red snapper I've ever had. I've had it in Jersey, New York, Florida, other places in AZ, and Guadalajara Mexico but none compare to this place. It's also massive and can feed 4 easily. Also, right on par with the best I've ever had is the Cameron's locos. I'm not a big spicy person but the shrimp tasted so good and the kick pairs well with rice or tortillas but I am more of a rice person. Highly recommend both of those dishes. Although it gets super busy they are quick to bring your meals and hospitality is top notch. I'm gonna miss this place when I leave AZ.

Mariscos here are on point! Flavors are super delicious and the service is amazing. This is my second visit here and both times did not disappoint. Parking is limited although there is additional parking across the street (a little sketchy at night). All in all, the food is worth the drive over. Will definitely be back for more of that good stuff!

A gem. It's a great sign you've come to the right place when it is super busy, and not because they are understaffed or slow. The wait staff was friendly, the food was terrific and at wonderful price. There is additional parking just north east of restaurant. Shrimp taco was best I ever had. The patio was great.

I was expecting a long wait but we went in the middle of the week around 4:30 and were seated immediately
The attention to detail and our server were top notch. Our server was very attentive and excitedly walked us through the menu. He guided us on frequently ordered items and house favorites.
The pineapple drink was absolutely delicious. If you want to feel like you’re on a beach enjoying a wonderful beach cocktail this is the drink for you. As an added bonus you get pineapple slices to enjoy and snack on as you wait for you meal.
The shrimp was wonderful. The plate presentation was beautiful and the flavor was very appetizing. Be prepared to get a little messy as you crack your shrimp and dip away.
We also ordered the red snapper. This fish could seriously feed about 3-5 people. With all the additional sides that come with the fish you will find yourself completely satisfied.
The fish was cooked and fried to perfection. This dish is bursting with flavor. Make sure to ask for the house sauce on the side as the truth is the fish doesn’t need anything.
I can’t wait to come back

What a feast!
Holy cow! I can't believe we just did that!
What an incredible dining experience. We had a feast fit for Arizona Kings. This joint is quintessential Arizona Mexico cuisine at it's purest.
Nestled in backdrop of central Phoenix lies this incredible restaurant that truly deserves it's flowers.
It's simply difficult to describe how incredible the drinks and food are. Marisos Playa Hermosa is a treasured gem in the heart of Phoenix.
The wait staff are beautiful, fun and super fast. As you can see from the pictures, the table is stacked with mounds of ridiculous Mexican flavor and flare.
This is a must for anyone who wants to add some serious inches to their waistline. Crazy good food.

Lots of seafood, non-seafood, and drink options. The food was great, as was the service and atmosphere. I recommend making a reservation since it seems that the wait can be 40+ minutes for people who walk-in during peak hours. The parking lot is pretty small, so there's a good chance that you'll end up parking behind the laundromat or the neighborhood street.

Best Mexican food I have ever had. Trust the staff and their recommendations! They are super helpful when ordering. Thomas was managing and he came by to check on us and explain the menu items. Couldn't have had a friendlier manager!! The customer service here was off the chart! We had full drinks the entire time on top of an attentive server.
The food was just as amazing. Everything was full of flavor and beautiful! I can't even describe how good it was. The only words that can describe the food here are addicting, flavorful and delicious.
I highly recommend not eating all day because you will have a hard time putting the food down here. It was all so good!!!!!
This has to be the best Mexican in the valley if not all of Arizona!!! You need this in your life!

One of the most authentic Mexican restaurant north of the borders. The atmosphere, the food, the crowd, and the entire experience.
We ordered two large red snapper fish and lots of shrimps. All were cooked perfectly Mexican style.
We will definitely come back.
