Nostalgic and delicious. Look, it's not new American or food with a modern twist. It's a place that takes you back in time when dishes have only a few components. They really nail those components though. Both the meatloaf and turkey were excellent and neither were dry. Mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned. Server was very friendly. What's not to love?
I have been coming here for eight years. This is the best food for a home-cooked meal! They have the best, and I mean the best-carved turkey, potato salad, or bread anywhere!!! It is not the best location, nor is it sparkly inside, but you will thank me!

Great overall experience, the service is bilingual and it's great! The staff does a great job bringing a great experience.
I ordered the Pot Roast meal with a side of Mashed potatoes, some house potatoes, and a side of rice Pilaf. The pot roast was good (A lot, big dinner) just needed a bit more salt and to be a little more tender.
The rice Pilaf was ok, it tated like it's boxed or just not that good. The mashed potatoes needed salt as well and the gravy was ok.
The soup was cooked well and nice, I don't remember the name but it's a broth and it was pretty good.
Overall the meal was blan but they do use good quality ingredients and the service is really good ????.
Great job, keep up the good work ????

It's... fine... kinda. It's comfort food in the purest sense, so I get why people enjoy it. But it's not great. It's just okay. The portions are generous. It'll hit the spot when you're hungry.
But it's nothing to write home about. And if you dare compare yourself to mom's cooking, you need to make food that makes you want to write home about.

Has been years since we've been here. We used to live around the corner from here and would frequent this place several times a month. Well the thing is, I don't know why we waited so long to go back to this place. The food is just as good or maybe even better than what I remember. I'm a pretty big person and they all booths. But they do have two booths for bigger people. We got seated and had our drinks in no time at all. The bring a basket of bread that you can snack on if you can't wait for your meal to come out. I had the dinner and it came with one trip to the salad bar. Before I could even finish my salad the dinner came out. I had the chicken fried steak and it was awesome! The mashed potatoes are real potatoes not instant. They have a few lumps in them which is the way mom and Grandma used to make. Wish I had room for dessert but I was stuffed. The homemade pie selection looks great. Next time I'll hold off on a big dinner so I can get some of their pie

This place has been around forever, my parents love coming here. I had the prime rib “grilled” and it was amazing! Green beans were very tasty. My buddy ordered the Cesar salad and it was huge. Can’t beat the price point, REAL salad bar, and family style service.

Came here after many people recommended it. Boy were we in for a surprise! The service was top notch, but the food was out of this world! The server even saved us money by recommending the special that night which was similar to what we had ordered. The portions are huge, my wife and I could have easily split one entree. We had leftovers, but only because we were saving room for the apple pie! I am not a pie guy, but boy was this pie delicious! We had one slice of pie and a side of the ice cream. The pie was warmed and the filling was perfect, not too sweet but just enough. Overall a great experience, definitely as good as it gets!

The pot roast is SO0oooooo good! The veggies are to perfection that they never make it home! The chicken fried steak and gravy is no joke. To say there's leftovers can only mean one thing. We had to save room for the most amazing apple pie! Honestly, everything tastes homemade from the green beans to the pink lemonade to the fresh bread. When we're in the mood for a good home cooked meal, this is it!

I arrived at 11:00 a.m. and I only saw a few people already there. The hostess sat me quickly, and my server Julian brought me some delicious coffee while I looked at my menu. I decided on a lunch special; open-faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy and decided to get a salad from the salad bar as well. Everything was great and I especially liked the mini loaf of honey wheat bread. I was surprised when my entree arrived because it was big enough to feed two people but that means I have leftovers for tonight. Yeah! The place was beginning to fill up and it's always a good sign when I see seniors because they know a good value and good cooking.
As I was eating I could hear other people ordering food and I noticed a lot of prime rib orders so I think it's a popular choice and my next one. I met the owner as I was getting ready to leave and I had to compliment him on doing everything right. They have a very friendly and efficient staff. Thanks again to Julian. Try it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I almost forgot... plenty of parking in the rear.

We visited for the first time last Saturday, found the place when looking for a restaurant that has a salad bar as there are almost none around anymore. The restaurant has been around for a long time and is very retro but in great shape. Seemed well maintained and clean. Loved the old school salad bar, only complaint is the size of the plates. The bread plate size makes it difficult to eat without half of it falling off onto the table. My husband got the turkey dinner special and the turkey was moist and flavorful. Stuffing was sort of runny but had a good taste. Mashed potatoes were homemade and great, gravy and corn were decent. I had the bigger cut of prime rib with mashed potatoes and corn as well. I ordered it medium rare and it was medium to medium well instead. They gave
me the end piece which is always the most cooked through. I did not send it back as that is a big loss for them as they can can't use it once it hits the table. It still was fairly tender and a pretty good taste thankfully, would've been much better rarer but still was fairly enjoyable. Came with Au jus and a good horseradish so that helped a lot. We split a piece of apple pie afterwards. They are really big pieces and pretty good pie, great value. Our whole bill before tip was only $45 including tax; we definitely want to try it again even if it is a 20 minute drive from home. Keep doing what you're doing!
