I’m torn with how many stars to rate Richardson’s. One of our neighbors recommended this restaurant for good New Mexico cuisine because she grew up in New Mexico. Hubby and I were out that way Saturday helping a friend go car shopping. Stopped here for lunch. The reason I’m torn with the star rating is because Richardson’s is not at all wheelchair friendly, but the food is fabulous. The parking is also questionable. It looks like valet parking, but since I have a handicap placard we parked in the one and only handicap parking space near the entrance. Through the entrance there is a patio and Richardson’s is to the left. Once inside there is only one table that is sort of wheelchair accessible. It’s in a corner to the left. There was already a couple sitting at the table, but they saw us and immediately got up and gave us the table. There is a step to get up to the other tables. The place is small and there’s a big bar in the middle. The waiter was great and helped with our selection of food since it was our first time. After we ordered food I wanted to use the restroom. It was an obstacle course for me in the wheelchair. The bar stools were in the way so my hubby started to move them, but there really was nowhere to put them (it’s a very narrow walkway), so a waiter moved them somewhere, but put them back without waiting for me return to my table, so I had to kind of push them with my feet out of the way on the way back to my table to eat. The food was delicious though. There is patio seating that probably had more room for a wheelchair, but I don’t know for sure. I do recommend this restaurant because the food is great, but for wheelchair users it’s hard to maneuver inside, but maybe the patio area might work.
If you are looking for a place that serves great comfort food of great portions, you’ve found it. Richardson’s had a great menu and variety of options. The food was flavorful and rich in quantity. The service was good, but not great. It felt like our table was forgotten about a few times as it grew busier.
Overall, I’d recommend this place for those looking for a hearty meal!

After years and years of contemplating to try this place I finally made that decision today. I do not regret coming in tonight.
This place serves New Mexico cuisine AKA New Mexican flare. It definitely has a flare and the smell of firewood was in the air when we walked into the covered courtyard.
We loved the fact that they had indoor and outdoor seating. The bar also was on the outside in the courtyard. We were just happy it wasn't hot in the courtyard. We decided to dine outside.
We were approached right away and they took our drink orders. Loved that they served chilled water. As we scanned the menu we noticed they had a variety of food. Such as enchiladas, seafood, steak and pasta dishes.
We will definitely return because the food was absolutely delicious ????. A little too expensive when it comes to their steak prices.
We didn't expect large portions but we were happy to try their cuisine. There are no freebies here we had to pay $8 for Chips and salsa.
We ordered Carne adovada and relleno platter plus chips and salsa. Salsa were definitely different and to be honest I didn't care for it. My husband was glad that he ordered his chili on the side. He enjoyed his enchiladas very much. He liked all the spices and flavor of the enchiladas he had.
Happy eating ????.

Really good food and service. The seating situation was a little strange. We arrived at 5:15pm and the host said we just had to be finished by 7pm. This was the second time they told us this but they haven’t asked us to leave by a certain time once that time comes up. Just puts a bad vibe out there at the beginning of our visit. I wish they didn’t do that. Other than that- everything is always excellent. I always order the shrimp enchiladas plate with Christmas sauce (red and green) and hmmm friend had the burger. She said it was fabulous.

I love this place. Great, hearty food and good portions too. I always like to take out of town guests here. They have great cocktails and a very cool atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place and stop at Rokerij for a cocktail after if there is availability. One of my favorite places in Phoenix.

My boyfriend and I have driven by this restaurant a number of times, and each time that we did the parking lot was full of vehicles. Due to the lot being so full of people eating there, we added this restaurant to our Bucket List. We finally decided to try them out for dinner tonight, and boy, we weren't disappointed ???? My boyfriend drank a beer and I ordered a prickly pair Margarita which was served in a tall glass, it was beyond delicious & refreshing, perfect for the hot Arizona evening. The portions of food that they serve you are definitely worth the price and it was very yummy. Our waiter Edward who was also the bartender in the patio area was very courteous and polite, he provided such great service and even gave us a mini tour of Rosie's which is one of two restaurants that they have at this place. We will definitely be back to eat here again and I will bring my family and friends that come visit from out town to check it out. P.S. The setting of this place is very nice, the ambiance & decor was dark & enjoyable, it just made the dining experience that much better ???? If you end up being torn between this place and another, definitely go with Richardsons. I hope this review gets you to try this wonderful place out.

This was my first time here. The food menu was truly expansive and difficult to choose any one meal to eat. Definitely a restaurant worth returning to for multiple potential options whether it be for Brunch or Dinner menu options.
It can be very busy here between 11-2 which is when we arrived, so be prepared to be able to wait a bit if you want a table instead of bar service and come with patience for busy wait staff and service. Come to expect to sit and chat with your guests/company for a while and time will fly. Brunch is served until 4pm which is fantastic.
On hot days be sure to dress lightly for a warm dining room (or patio) experience with ceiling fans above you.
Both food plates were absolutely full of taste and flavor and well worth the $ spent.
Pictures shown: 1. French Toast, eggs, thick bologna slices & 2. Huevos Rancheros with baked beans, sausage, with hash browns beneath the eggs. I wish we had tried the bacon wrapped shrimp ???? but ended up not getting to try them on this visit. Next time! Definitely will be back!

Food is always delicious. The red sauce is amazing! Because it’s so popular, I recommend reservations on the weekend otherwise you’ll be fighting for the open seating at the bar. As many others have said, it is a little pricier. While the food is good and portions are decent, I still would consider it all a bit overpriced. Finally, I’ve been here several times and service is always average at best. The food always comes out reasonably quick and hot. Aside from that, staff seem possibly overworked, definitely uninterested, and otherwise slow and inattentive. Given the service and pricing, it’s no 5 star place in my book. But the food is definitely amazing.

A great atmosphere, great service, and fantastic authentic New Mexico food! A little on the pricey side, but worth it. The portions of food are very large.

Absolutely love all the Richardson’s establishments. The food is incredible and the portion sizes are generous. Literally some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life. It is not cheap but it’s worth every penny. Highly recommend the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer. Overall the vibe is laid back and comfortable. The indoors restaurant area is cozy but a little cramped. I opted to sit at the bar in the courtyard area and was comfortable with the heat lamps on. The staff were friendly and attentive. My only complaint was they were not wearing masks, however I appreciated the sign on the door advising they were vaccinated.
