No matter where I eat southern food should it be in the states of Alabama, Arkansas. Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee. They all taste different because they are all done different. Yet I enjoy eating in each state when going through there. But I always enjoy southern food no matter which state style of cooking it comes from. So I enjoyed eating at Stacy's as a good place in Arizona.
If I could give this place less than one star I definitely would… Everybody who is going on and on about this food being good, needs a sit down with Jesus… I spent $40, I had a catfish, the ribs, and some of the blandest chicken I have ever had in my life!… I’m not even one to complain about food, I have never wrote a food review in my life!… But this MUST to be said… I really wasn’t tripping on the atmosphere, because in my experience those places have the best food… But in this case, the place was a perfect representation of how bad the food was… The cornbread was dry, the fish was a weird texture, the chicken was bland and tough… The ribs had ketchup on them… The mac & cheese was awful… My cabbage was awful… I don’t know where those yams came from… And okra was TERRIBLE!!! Please do not spend your money here!!! Please!!!

All the flavors of a backyard to go plate with none of the relatives.
3 meats 2 sides 20 bucks. Hot link, rib tips, fried catfish, fried okra and yams.
The link melts without chewing and held all the flavor it was cooked with.

First off the food here reminds me of sitting in my grandmother's kitchen and watching her cook everything from scratch. I thank you all so much for giving me a piece of her back with the food that you make. Simply delicious down home southern soul food cuisine. I will definitely be back

Most definitely not soul food. Idk how they have 4 stars right now. The pictures should speak for themselves. The greens were just okay. NO seasoning whatsoever on the chicken. The yams tasted like carrots, no sugar or cinnamon. Just wasn’t worth it at all. Never again!!!

Mmmmmmmm the rib tips are my favorites they have so much meat... the candied yams are sweet and yummy and the macaroni and cheese is cheesy... The shrimp was fried perfect too.. I will definitely be coming back here.. the customer service was awesome also very polite with hospitality it was a Thursday so it wasn't super busy but the lady who worked made sure she accommodated me and my family she went above and beyond to check on us and bring us anything we needed... will be coming back for sure...

Went to this place today for lunch got the rib tip plate my ribs were so tough you couldn’t even chew them, cornbread Extra dry potato salad you could tell it was old but the yams were good and they forgot my greens! Needless to say if I want some southern home cooking or ribs I’ll be making it at home and not wasting my money here! 2 dinners $48 and some change all to be thrown out! And the owner or manager tried to argue with me over the phone while smacking ribs in my ear and asking other employees to try them and trying to convince me that they wasn’t old! Ribs should simply not me so tough that you can’t chew! ! All I wanted was a replacement which he offered afterwards! Maybe he should just listen instead of trying to justify that the ribs are not tuff to your customers! Needless to say I won’t eat here again he ruined it with his negative attitude for me!

Today was the first time that I have been here in almost a year.
I gotta tell ya this place is not what i remember.
Did the original people sell?
The woman working the front was rude and dismissive.
But, I let that go because i understand that working with people can be challenging.
I ordered the fried chicken dinner with mac n cheese which looked like shellacked macaroni absolutely missing cheese.
The greens the few that there were were not done.
Lastly, but certainly not least the chicken.
I paid for a breast wing and thigh thats not what i received and it tasted as if the oil it was cooked in was burnt.
No need to worry about me going there again.
Fool me once shame on you ,twice shame on me

I’m convinced the west coast doesn’t really know soul food because this place is NOT it. I originally went for brisket which was out, so I ordered the fried chicken dinner with macaroni and cheese, collard greens and fried okra. The batter on the fried chicken was way too thick and flavorless (I shouldn’t have to drown my food in hot sauce for it to taste like something). I’m pretty sure the fried okra batter was the same batter they use on the fish, however, that too was bland. And the macaroni and cheese was awful, I’m southern and used to baked macaroni oozing with cheese…this was not it! OMG…and the corn muffin was dry and disgusting…there’s ways to jazz up jiffy corn bread mix I’m just saying. The only thing worth finishing on my plate was the collard greens. From now on I’ll definitely have to check the audience giving the reviews because this place definitely wasn’t 4 stars worthy.

This little place is a bit hidden. I drive by there all the time and happen to find it by looking on here for barbecue. I'll start with my favorite.
As you can see in the pictures I ordered many things and I didn't have any company so I brought many leftovers home.
The BBQ beef ribs were tender and meaty. It seems like not many BBQ places have beef ribs anymore. Everybody seems to focus on spare ribs. It was a nice BBQ sauce on the ribs not too sweet but yet a bit of sweetness.
I also ordered a half pound of brisket. It was a little juicy and the BBQ sauce was perfect not too sweet.
The fried chicken was good it was on a special with a shrimp.
The gumbo had a medium spice kick to it the sausage had nice flavor. There was also a good amount of shrimp in there.
And something you don't see often, they had three flavors of kool-aid. I had grape. That was an awesome surprise. I could tell when I walked in this place they were serious about soul food. Everything I had you could taste the home cooking love in it.
End of the things I brought home with me when I reheated that brisket it was just as good as when they made it in the restaurant. I suggest ordering a half pound of that and bring it home with you on top of whatever you eat there.
