After reading the reviews, I had high hopes and expectations for this place and honestly I would never return , maybe I'll try brunch but dinner was a huge no for me .
The drink was really good - service was ok , but slow
I ordered the Octopus, the food came out barely warm and there was more potatoes , ( which tasted old) rather than octopus.
Way too much going on in the dish .
The building is very beautiful and the interior was very elegant

Went here for brunch and really enjoyed it! The atmosphere and decor is fantastic, food is flavorful w/ great portions, and they offer variations of mimosas that are fun! Definitely recommend. We got the bananas foster Dutch baby pancakes and peaches and cream French toast- both great!

I like the new concept, it's different. We had the burger and the heirloom sandwich. Both were great. Burger cooked to perfection, bacon was a little burnt (I think it was roasted in the pizza oven). The sandwich was delicious, the bread was excellent as well as the babaganoush and fresh mozzarella. Drinks were cold, bar tender Andrew was great, with excellent customer service. Highly recommended.

I loved the atmosphere with all the plants and swanky decor. The service was great, super friendly. The food was all right. I had the cauliflower, which had a bit too much vinegar dressing, making it a little overwhelming taste- and smell-wise (so I didn't even finish it). I also stole a slice of my partner's margherita pizza which was tasty.
It was a nice experience overall, but I'll try somewhere else when I'm in the area next time.

I simply can't express how much I love this place. The design, of course, is fantastic, and the food was simply delicious. Lovely drinks and super service. We actually showed up with a larger group than we reserved space for and they were gracious enough to figure out how to seat us. Highly recommend the beet salad and fungi pizza.

I used to like the vig uptown but I love the genuine. They did a beautiful revamp of the interior and even changed the entrance which works. I ordered the lamb sub and it was fantastic. Also two for one mimosas so that didn't hurt. Server was fun and a bit quirky. Overall a very good impression of this new addition to the neighborhood. Looking forward to coming back soon

First impression when we walked in was How cool, how did we miss this place. The menu looked great and the server was nice and quick to take our order. But then when we got our salads, we were disappointed. The salad were small. That added chicken was dry, chewy and salty. Looked like it was old. My wife’s salad that was supposed to have shaved garden vegetables has 2 thin carrots and 2 thin radishes on a small bed of lettuce. That’s it for $14 and $19. So we picked at our salads and drank our drinks. The drinks we good, but the server never came back to check on our meals nor did she ask us if we wanted another drink until we were ready to leave. Also what I assume was the restaurant manager never stopped by to check on us. He was busy setting up the umbrellas and moving chairs. We did see the manager sitting down eating his lunch/dinner while we left. We paid the bill. Left a very small tip and will never return.

Stopped by the Vig on our way home from the state fair because we were starving and was happy to find out that their kitchen was still open at 10:30. We order a couple of items from the main menu and appetizers and was very happy with our food. I wouldn't get coffee here though. Overall good service, waiter was nice. The art work was really cool on the ceiling and there were dividers between our booths. I would definitely recommend this spot for some late night dining.

Parking was very limited and packed. Sadly not the best! But if you can score a spot right away, you're lucky! We arrived for dinner, as soon as you arrive the atmosphere is very welcoming. The decor is beautiful. Staff is very polite and gave warm greetings. The server came right away and introduced themselves and was very friendly. Food was delightful and packed with tons of flavor. I personally had the Vig Burger. Best burger I've had! Over all it was an amazing experience with delicious food and drinks. Definitely a place to go just to hang or if you want to take a first date. They do take reservations. Advice: carpool or arrive before dinner. M
