It is an interesting location in a Koreatown strip mall and I was approached for change by the person in front of the business next door, but once inside it was a great atmosphere.
Location aside the food and service were fantastic. We got the focaccia and it is a must...fabulous. We took the server's suggestion and ordered the seasonal chitarra pasta with morel mushrooms and ramps. It was not what I would have chosen but was top notch! We also took his guidance on the dry aged branzino and the potato side dish. The branzino was good, but we wish we had selected another pasta instead. The potatoes with roasted garlic, crème fraiche and chives was also fabulous.
For dessert we got their well known ice cream. We chose the seasonal strawberry offering that was absolutely amazing. It had the most pure and strong strawberry flavor I have ever had in an ice cream. It tasted like a creamy strawberry purée. We only got a couple photos because we were focused on eating LOL.
We will definitely be back!
Lovely dinner. The focaccia is delightful and amazing. The salads and pastas are great as well. But the best part is the main course and the serving size is good enough for two. And don’t miss the whipped gelato at the very end.

Absolutely incredible. I came here for a friend's bachelor party dinner and everyone was blown away. We even had the added bonus of Leonardo DiCaprio sitting next to us! Great ambiance and the food was magnificent. The burrata, salads, lamb, duck pasta, and desserts were all amazing. Highly, highly recommend this place whether you're a local or visiting LA.

What can I say about this amazing evening. After just having returned from Italy, we were primed for solid, albeit not comparable pasta. Instead what we discovered is that Antico is an absolute gem! Not only was the food comparable to some of the best dishes we had in Florence and Rome, but the focaccia and pate combo were the best I’ve ever had. We started with said focaccia and then had two incredible pasta dishes followed by an above average pork rib deal. The meal ended with two flavors of amazing gelato. This restaurant, and their wonderful severs/sommelier will be seeing us again soon. Mad respect!

I've been an Italian chef for over 30 years & I've been to hundreds of Italian restaurants all over United States & Italy and I thought the food was ok at the least. The pasta was way too salty meaning that cooks don't taste the food before it goes out probably because its an open kitchen & the caesar salad.....well I was expecting some Romaine but there was none instead it had a round piece of Red Radicchio & 2 little pieces of broccoli strings for $14??.....are you kidding ???? The service was good but it was way too noisy!

Absolutely love this place! Moved to LA a few weeks ago and this has been my go to Italian restaurant I take out all my friends and family to! Highly recommend the short rib pappardelle!

While I never dined at its predecessor “Antico”, I can’t imagine that it could have been better than Chef Chad Colby’s post-pandemic “Antico Nuovo” For anybody who loves Italian fare and wine, this restaurant is simply heaven. Upon entering the restaurant, I felt right at home - comforted by the ambiance and lighting. The kitchen overlooking the dining room creates an intimate space between cooks and diners. Not only was the space beautiful, but the service was excellent and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I feel like I had left LA! More frequently, it seems we are paying higher prices for an instagrammable atmosphere and mediocre food, with mediocre service. This is simply not the case at Antico Nuovo.
Tonight, we started with the focaccia with whipped ricotta and hazelnut pesto… this will put any bread to shame. Then we had the squash caprese with burrata - surprisingly vibrant and bright. But a welcomed surprise. For our main we just order multiple pasta dishes. All the pasta was phenomenal.
We finished with espresso - focaccia ice cream, pistachio ice cream, and Antico chionto (aperitif). This ice cream is the best I’ve ever had.
Thank you for an amazing dining experience, with such care and attentiveness to our table! I cannot wait to come back here.

Wow, this was just fantastic. Super light and springy dough with a delicious taste. The sun gold sauce is definitely a standout. Pretty amazing slices or Pizzetta as they call it.

I went to this restaurant for my birthday, and my experience was pretty good! The dishes are small and expensive, but they still taste great. Also be aware of the registration fee which is 20% of the total bill. The interior is trendy, yet cozy. I loved their dishes and how they change my utensils every time I get new dish.
