This place was a nice place to eat sushi.
I think it’s a little over rated like most of LA in general.
The service was very good and the food was good.
But nothing I tried was great.
This is a very good place to get your sushi fix but it is not a place I would take a date to impress.
It also seems to limited hours as do a number of places close by.
Not sure if it’s still the Covid hangover or not.
It is close to the arena so it’s got that going for it as well.
Delicious, fast, and fresh sushi! The house salad was amazing too!

Baked lobster rolls, Korean BBQ rolls, & California rolls were delicious. Staff made fun of a dining guest that requested no ????, so that wasn't very kind (I'm of the opinion that people should be able to order how they like it), but food was fresh and excellent- especially the baked lobster rolls!

My wife and I love this place. Favorite spot, with secret menu items!

One of my favorite sushi spots in DTLA, excellent customer service and quality fish.
Love the uni qualiy & I usually get their Garlic Albacore, Truffle Salmon, Seaweed salad. I highly recommend the hot sake or milky sake in a bottle and also their baked blue crab hand roll.

Delicious and fast with friendly service. This was my first time dining here but it won’t be my last. There is plenty of seating and they have a great assortment of items to chose from.
The highlights of our order were the J’s Special, Yellowtail Hamachi with Jalapeño and the albacore special roll. We got more items but those were the standouts but honestly everything was very tasty and I would be comfortable recommending it this place to anyone. I will be back soon and often to try more items.

Who isn't always on the search for fresh, delicious sushi? I've only been here once but... Wow. Even the avocado was amazingly fresh. The menu is decently priced and the fish is really great. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Absolutely recommend. Picture is of the caterpillar roll.

Read a lot of good rating of this place, and I was very disappointed. My friend and I were the only Asians in the restaurant except the chef and staff, and that says a lot! The food was extremely Americanized. I did not feel like eating Japanese food at all. We ordered fried cauliflower (happy hour), viagra roll (happy hour), and chicken teriyaki.
Fried cauliflower: it looks like sweet and sour pork when the server put it on our table! It’s a little sweet, and I would say that this dish is the best dish for our dinner...
Viagra roll: the description on the menu said that they made this roll with eel. However, there was no eel in at least 3 pieces. Instead, I only found fake crab meat. Also, it was very oily (for sure not the sauce, but oil)! (Please refer to my picture)
Chicken teriyaki: this is the most expensive ($20) and the worse dish for the night. First of all, the chicken is super dry and rough. I worked in a restaurant before. It tasted like the chicken was pre-cooked, and they just warmed it up. The dish made me think of a Chinese stir fired chicken with Japanese teriyaki sauce.
Will not come back again!

Food was spot on. The yellowtail sashimi and lemon roll were incredible. I nearly ordered another one of each! Would definitely recommend. The snapper was off the specials menu and it was good, but not as great. Wouldn't waste my time with the mediocre Salmon lovers roll. It was a disappointment and maybe it was too close.to closing, but that roll was poorly constructed and nearly impossible to get from my plate to my mouth in one piece. The service was less than stellar but I would go back in a heartbeat for those two rolls and to try some more sashimi! Definitely recommend!!

The staff was very friendly and the space was nice. Having a happy hour option was nice, but the food wasn't very good. Some of the roll choices were specific to this spot but they weren't necessarily tasty.
The pork belly tempura roll included pork that was too heavily breaded in tempura batter and the half and half roll had some strange garlic-y fish and an imitation meat that tasted like a salad with how much mayo was in it.
The viagra roll was one of the better choices and the blue crab hand roll was very good and fresh tasting.
The price at the end wasn't horrible because the happy hour prices were good but I don't know that I'd return for anything too off the wall.
