I was fortunate enough to enjoy two meals at Café Fig while staying at Hotel Figueroa in downtown Los Angeles. One evening, I ordered fresh delicious chips with guacamole and pico de gallo as a starter and a wonderful fresh Cobb salad for my entrée. There was so much food left over that I had a full lunch the next day with just the leftovers.
Also, one morning I ordered a customized omelette with smoked salmon, roasted tomatoes, spinach and cream cheese. It was an enormous omelette. Prepared perfectly and very flavorful. I highly recommend the food at Café Fig and I look forward to a return visit one day.
GREAT LUNCH SPOT- I come to Hotel Fig monthly for lunch mtgs. Great decor, open space, and lighting. The food is delicious and the portions are large. My favs are the chicken sandwich and Cobb salad. The gauc is great to split with a friend.

It's one of those restaurants that look very fancy and great decor. But that's all it has going. There is granted a lot of stuff (Saturday) but that's was a lot of miss fires. Order the 3 eggs with skirt iron steak. With a salad. Got my eggs, toast and salad. No dress, (had to ask) steak was med done as I ask for well done. And getting orange was a long time of a wait as the manager had bring it over. And My steak was greasy as hell. Our server was nice. But execution needs work

Nice ״gem” hidden inside the Figueroa hotel. Came in for coffee, but ended up having a full meal. I loved their coffee with ghee (not for everyone - salty coffee).
Great pastries too.

This is a very nice and elegant place to visit. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was lively, yet classy. My only complaint is that the service was somewhat slow. The bathrooms are clean and comfortable, and there is a seating area in the lobby. The servers were kind and friendly, as well as helpful and accommodating. My visit lasted approximately 1 hour from arrival, ordering, eating, and then leaving. I would recommend this place for a elagant breakfast. They have vegetarian options on the menu as well.

Had a delicious breakfast at this beautiful restaurant. They have wellness shots, a nice selection of specialty coffee and teas and the food is really fresh and delicious. The service was also great the ambience is lovely. Can't wait to go back!!

Absolutely fantastic. Quick service and food was delicious. Started with a spicy Bloody Mary and ate the breakfast burrito. It had Soyrizo which was phenomenal.

Cappuccino, Brooklyn Omlette, Waffles & Chilequiles. Food was good overall, the Brooklyn Omlette was pretty tasty and unique, definitely needed some hot sauce, tasted better with cholulah. Waffle was okay, the strawberries taste and kind of funky. My favorite was the Chilequiles, really good flavor and also a little tiny bit spicy. If you don't like spicy though I wouldn't recommend it. Cappuccino was good, just wish it was bigger. Place is cute nice interior design, love the beautiful ceiling lighting with hanging greenery. Parking sucks there's a lot right next door but it's expensive and there are other parking lots around probably.

Staff was very friendly and attentive, the food was a bit pricey but was high quality, and we didn't have to wait too long despite the restaurant being pretty busy. The music was fairly loud (to where my friend and I had to speak up sometimes to hear each other). Be aware that if you sit on the patio there's no umbrellas/awnings for shade. The vibe is very chic, and the lounge/lobby area just outside the cafe had plenty of seating.
The parking lot adjacent to the hotel is $20/day parking, so I recommend arriving early to try your luck getting street parking (which is free on Sundays!)
I would definitely go back again, and I have hopes that they'll work out the shade situation since they opened only just recently.
