Sat at the bar so we got to try both menus! Everything was amazing but my favorites include sea bream and uni crudo special, oysters, nicoise salad, rigatoni, and both desserts. For drinks for the champs Elysees and and amazing cocktail that had apple brandy? With honey? Staff was super attentive, kind, and helpful with the recommendations, shout out to Davey!
Solid French cuisine with South Asian influence. Unlike standard French fare, you won’t walk away feeling like you ate 3 sticks of butter. The dishes were nicely seasoned, not too heavy on the palate, and quite delicious.
I highly recommend these dishes:
- baby shrimp
- barbajuan
- beef tartare
- iced beet salad
- seasonal vegetables with truffle (one of our favs of the night!)
- lentils and lamb (another standout)
- scallop dumplings
- trout almandine
- marzipan dessert
Despite ordering a long list of dishes, we were still hungry towards the end of the meal and added on a couple additions. Portion sizes were quite small (especially the trout almandine main). Our server was kind enough to send out extra brioche rolls. However, our group of 4 ended up grabbing a second dinner a couple hours later. I regret not ordering more.
Camphor is a welcome addition to LA fine dining! I’ll certainly be back to try the rest of the menu.

Great service, genuinely surprising food, beautiful and tasty. The baby shrimp were a perfect little snack, and I wish I could eat them at home on my couch; the mackerel with smoked eel was an insanely layered dish; the pommes Anna was fun and flirty; the chicken was perfectly balanced with a tangy jus and incredibly moist; the chocolate hazelnut dessert was absolutely masterful, each bite a different combination of sweet and savory, contrasting textures, and varying temperatures. The wines for the wine pairing were great, though the highlight was the amaro that came with the dessert — and specifically the bitterness and spicedness that provided a wonderful contrast with the chocolate and hazelnut. The cocktail that I got — the Trocadéro — was deeply flavorful and balanced out its booziness beautifully.

Food was decent not amazing. Not worth a return trip for me. We had the bread, shrimp, crab, tartare, and chicken. I would recommend the bread and tartare. It’s good but nothing special. Service was prompt. The timing between meals was too rushed. Oh h the amuse bouche was memorable.

Solid experience. Staff were very attentive, and genuinely engaging. Baby shrimp was not what you expect but was uniquely served. Oysters were ok. Fries tasted fresh, and that's an understatement. Opera, Chappelle, and Saint Germain were solid cocktails and highly recommend Opera. Mushroom dish was good, but the scallops were exquisite. Overall solid addition to the arts district.

What a perfect restaurant! It was excellent on every level - the food, the service, the atmosphere. I usually don’t love beef tartare but this one is out of this world - a must order! Also, the chicken was incredible - so much flavor. As dessert we had an off-the-menu dish which was baked brioche with dark chocolate and crème anglaise, I highly recommend it if they have it! We also had an amazing rosé wine from France that the sommelier recommended.
I loved this restaurant and will be back for sure!

Hands down the best place I’ve eaten in a while! Their steak and lobster is to die for. Amazing presentation. Everything was perfect and tasted delicious! Even the bread and butter was sooo good. Their staff was very professional and made sure we were very well taken care of. Five stars all day. You have to try them out!

Every dish was so delicious! It will be our new favorite restaurant in art district.
We had shrimp and crab dumpring for start, lobster and game bird for main, and chocolate moose dessert. They have nice delicate complex flavors. It’s way more than what it looks like. It’s also great to share.
Their waitstaffs were very helpful as well. You won’t wait to be assist but they will be here for help immediately. Nabil and company exceed expectation.
The price for a glass of wine was a little pricey but still we enjoyed!

Great place for that special celebrations! The majority of the dishes are served with some sort of gravy/sauces! The beef tartar was really good. The after dinner drinks were phenomenal! The only down side when we were there is the wait staff kept bumping into my chair! Pricing is a bit stiff but it was worth it!

What a sublime dining experience! The food was just on another level of cuisine. The French techniques really shines through with just a hint of playfulness from South East Asian flavors. Between 2 people, we shared 4 snacks, 1 starter and 1 dessert - enough to keep 2 people feeling full without overly stuffed. In addition to the food, the cocktails were delicious (get the Latin Quarter!). Service was also superb. Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. They offered us sparkling rose while we waited and free appetizers to prep the palate to what's to come. What a truly amazing experience. I'll definitely be back. Get in there now, before it becomes hard to get a reservation, because I guarantee you it will.
