Loved this place. I got here fairly early on a Friday night. 8:30 and the place wasn't too busy. Upon entering I reserved a ping pong table and they told us it would be an hour wait; understandable. We were able to find a spot at the bar and hang out while we waited for the ping pong table and more friends to come.
When our friends arrived we moved to a bigger table and ordered food. The pizza was ok, nothing impressive. Drinks were a tad bit over priced for me.
This place rocks. Super friendly staff and a nice little hidden spot. Just in town for a minute, but exactly what we were looking for.

One of the best places to go to for the second operations holiday throw down: Crane's Bar Downtown Ping Pong! The only things I found interesting about Crane's Bar Downtown is the same small portions of food handing to my MoFo colleagues and I, and of course, ping pong. Although I don't have the soul talent for ping pong, I still like the game. I be glad there's no major competition, so it makes no difference if players like us hit the ping pong balls after they bounce many times, and left them on the ground. I could've sworn I hit someone's glass of wine. I would even hit the ball to get it up onto the ceiling. Yet, it's another wacky world of sports. Wish they had veggie selections onto each soup spoons. :}

I would definitely come back for some ping pong and beers and finger food. I absolutely love the music. It's a nice and comfortable lounge to handing out, even for a 2 months old baby.

Recommend making a reservation. This place is popular! Staff is nice. Music is good. Plenty of places to sit and watch. They have lots of tables with people making it fashionable to play ping pong. You can put your name down on the wait list and they'll text you when your table is ready.
Pro tip: if you're an aficionado of the game and already play regularly, you should bring your own paddle.

Checked out this place due to a recommendation from a friend and couldn't be any more satisfied. I got the patty melt dog and it was bomb!! Also had an elote on the side and was one of he better elotes I've had !! When in the area will definitely go again to try the rest of the menu.

Best secret underground bar in the city. Quaint and stylish this place is great to have conversations, listen to a live small band, or grab a drink on your way through the city. Drink menu includes classics and some new flavors. They have a wide variety of spirits so you can quench your palate. Nice place to take a date or some friends looking for a good time.

Crane's Bar is a great venue for a happy hour or if you want to meet a large group and actually be able to talk to someone. The decor is modern and high end so it's a great place for a date. One thing that is odd is that to get drinks you give them a credit card when you get in and they give you a press club card which you then use to get drinks. I'd definitely go back. I have been there many times and most recently for a friend's birthday and Alfonso really made a point of ensuring that everyone had fun.

Love Crane's! Cool place, great staff and drinks in an old basement bank vault! And the regulars are the best! Must go!
