I ate here in 1984.... In 1998, and now 2022... If you want to talk about consistency, comfort, and longevity, then this is the place... Still has all of the same menu items from the old days, still tastes great, and the bathroom smells like you're in the bowels of a 40-year-old Navy destroyer! That's authentic! Thanks Dinah's for hanging in there for us!
On the way to LAX and an overall great joint. Food is fast and hot. Big enough to split one. Chicken is the specialty but the other omelettes are good. Great service with an old school feel.

You can’t go wrong with a Dinah’s chicken dinner. The food and service are classic. The Googie architecture just makes this place so much fun. And what a value. The breakfast is great, too! Love it.

I enjoy eating at Dinah’s Family Restaurant which is really good. I think I went to Dinah’s when I was in West LA College. I think my first order at Dinah’s was the Fried Chicken. And recently I tried the 3 Egg Combos which is really good. So I choose French Toast and Sausage Patty. I know that Dinah’s is famous for there Fried Chicken but they have Many Different Meals you can pick. Like for Breakfast’s, Lunch, and Dinner. You can check on there Website which will show you there Menu. If I come back to Dinah’s I will try either the Fried Chicken or something else.

I'm not sure how to rate this place. I wanted to rate 4 or maybe even 5 stars two weeks ago, to but today's visit would have been 3 or 4 stars at best and given the experience I'm leaning towards 3 stars.
This is my second visit and I struggled with ordering the same thing as last time (because it was awesome) or try something new. I decided to test consistency and I ordered the baked apple pancake again and now I'm sad.
Don't get me wrong, today's pancake was ok, but it wasn't the same as last time; it wasn't awesome. The apple pancake is a 20-minute wait. Last time I ordered this the pancake was like a thin apple pie with a caramelized crunchy shell. This time, my pancake is thick and has much less apple/cinnamon/sugar and isn't caramelized at all.
The lack of consistency means a lot to me and so... I am sad.

I have eaten here a few times. I first ate here years ago, and the food it still great.
The fried chicken dinner and chicken and waffles breakfast are ???????? great.
The rib lunch special was good too. They also sell different flavor shakes, like blueberry and cherry.
There is plenty of parking, indoor, and outdoor dining. Great staff, attentive, and friendly.
The average cost a plate is about 15 bucks.

We enjoyed our breakfast at Dinah's. Good food and good service. You feel liked you're in one of those 50s or 60s movies. You feel you're indeed in LA.

Take out was good, it's broasted chicken so juicy and not full of oil.. this is a OG chicken spot not taken over by hipsters changing up everything.. it is a icon on the Westside and you should make it a point to stop by and eat

I was in the Culver City area and ran into this amazing place. I ordered fried chicken and French fries. It was juicy and very crispy, the coleslaw was the best I've ever had. I also order a German pancakes. It was my first time trying it and I loved it. Definitely coming back. Highly recommend.
