We went for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised by everything that happened inside. Firstly, it caught my eye, this is even before studying the Internet, the place contrasts a little with the environment - it is cleaner, smarter, more pleasant))) Inside, an American classic both in the kitchen and in the little things. The portion size, the steak doneness, the taste, the adequacy of the staff, everything, at least a little bit, exceeded our expectations. We didn't expect much, but we were very pleased!
The place is nice and clean, they have parking in the back. Order came out quick and no hassle. Now for the food... it was ok but nothing spectacular for my friends and I. We tried the ribs, brisket, potato salad, garlic mashed potatoes, sausage link, and rice and beans. Overall the food wasn't as good as many of the other bbq restaurants in the area.
The ribs weren't as soft or fall off the bone type, the brisket was ok, the sides were not as tasty or kinda dry, although I liked the galic mashed potatoes. Extra bbq sauce was almost $4 LOL.
The place has great potential but i'd skip this place next time. Enjoy!

Their food is really really good the ribs are exceptional good the barbecue sauce is fantastic sometimes the cabbage can be a little salty so be careful other than that the food is fantastic but it's best if you walk in and order your food to go I did order delivery and seem like you didn't get as much if you were sitting right there ordering the food to go but anyway for the most part awesome awesome place

OMG YALL!!! I went here yesterday and I got the beef brisket with the two sides of Mac n cheese and Garlic mashed potatoes! Can you Say BANGINN! I rarely post reviews but have to give props when props are due! Okurr lol ok all jokes aside so the brisket was perfectly cooked and flavorful, the Mac n cheese was Soo good that I’m looking up ways to Improve mine to make it similar to theirs…okkayyy and the garlic mashed potatoes were really good and listen here they were Real mashed potatoes so hands down to that. I also added two sides to my dinner the greens which came with a cornbread muffin and the baked beans. Now listen, those sides were mediocre but hey they were edible but could have been better… but hey I’m comparing their cooking to my grandmothers cooking who is from the south but all of the other items were Very close if not neck to neck to her cooking except for the baked beans and greens… but hey they still get an A+ in my book for presentation, the cleanliness of the restaurant, the warmth of the food and taste (I can’t feel any type of way because some items didn’t taste like grandmas they overall did a really Good job and cooking for lots of people isn’t an easy thing to do… I would say the server could have been more welcoming and courteous. I actually wanted to give the lady a tip when I swiped my card to help brighten her day but she moved to the next screen that I couldn’t but Hey you never know what people are dealing with and going through and she may have just been tired since it was getting close to business closing hours…. But Heyy I believe in if I’m going to serve then I’m going to serve in a pleasant manner until the business closes for the day… Anywho God Bless, Continual blessings to the business the food was just what I needed when I needed it.. Someone prepared it with Love and you can tell. ;-)))))Thank You! ;-)))))))

Closest thing to home cooked BBQ/Soul I've found in LA so far. If I find anything similar to compare I'll update. Staff is friendly especially the gentleman that host the counter frequently. Love this place & so do the stars!... it's in the hood but it's ALL GOOD.

The staff were less than friendly or welcoming. I told them it was my first time there and still didn’t get much help. I asked about short ends, but they were unfamiliar with them. For my taste the barbecue ribs were about 75% fat and bone, smothered in sauce. By the time I took all of the fat off there was not much meat.I was very disappointed.especially after seeing the restaurant featured on Spectrum. However, the greens were very good. Much better than most barbecue establishments. The rest of the sides looked good. Kudos on your sides.

Newest edit: I just drive my usual 40 min to get to D's. Super excited. I have my 14lb silkie in my arms, like he has been a half dozen times before at this place. I get a finger wave, a "no-no" and 'see the sign?!' as I try to state he is a ADA service animal, been here before.
I was holding him! So he wouldn't touch anywhere, not even the floor, in the standing room takeout ordering area. They don't have eat in customers right now.
They always seemingly remembered me in the past, so this was super disappointing. I can't leave my dog in the car, no option to leave him at home. So thanks D's, you may not have remembered me this time. But your attitudes left a lasting impression on me. I think this time was my last time at D's.
Way to break ADA federal law.
From 5 stars to 1.
In response to their response.
It seems like you were insinuating I didn't have a mask on. I did. I put in on in the car before I walked to your establishment.
It was not my second visit, I have been about a dozen times before. Hence why I mentioned my dog has been in my arms 6 times before without issue, including during covid.
I am pleased you know the ADA rules. Not many businesses claim to know them. Now had you followed through return said knowledge when I stated 'he is a service animal' this wouldn't be written right now. As a good animal owner of a service animal, I have his MD note on me at all times. I didn't even get a chance to demonstrate that before I was verbally and hand gestured to get the F-out. I never graced the threshold of your entrance.
As for fighting you refer to, there was no fight, no escalation of volume from me. No words beyond 'he is a service animal ' during which I was interrupted and hand waved off. So I turned back and walked towards my vehicle. Not a fight, more like kids who builly the nerd on the playground. One sided. Out of style. So not how it works in society today. Cancel culture? Hmmm...
Window service would be awesome, that could have avoided this. I liked your food, best bbq in LA. But being shunned, shooed away before entering, without any time to talk like adults or prove my situation, well, I don't like that treatment. I know other customers wouldn't either.
Facts. But I respect your rights as a business owner, even more so when you care to follow them. Customers have rights too. I was discriminated here. That wasn't the case here.
I wanted to let the public be aware of the truthiness of the situation. Thank you.

Today is my first time trying this place. I'm not impressed. I ordered salmon, red beans & rice and cabbage and each item is too salty. The fish over rice has a not so appealing taste to it. I can't finish this because of the saltiness.

I really enjoyed myself here!!! The service was exceptional and I was very pleased with my choices of meat and sides I received. I had the greens, Mac and cheese, mash potatoes and three meats. I will definitely be back here for another lunch date.

If you are in the LA or Inglewood area and are in the mood for BBQ look no further than D's! Great brisquit, beans, Mac and chicken!!! It will fill you up! I found out about this place on a Netflix show that featured Tiffany Haddish! Great customer service and everyone that works there does there absolute best to give you the best food hands down! Thanks Damon and the rest of the crew for making me feel like family!
