So glad we made the decision to come here!
Everything was absolutely delicious. From the fried chicken to the stuffing...THE YAMS...MY GOODNESS (some of the best I've ever had hands down) Let's not forget the sweet tea and lemonade mixed...WHEWWW!
We dined in and the experience was very pleasant. Felt like a huge Sunday Dinner with family????
Our waiter JAMES was so nice and on top of everything. Very cool guy????????
Yes I recommend a thousand percent ????????????????????????????????????????
Visiting from Chicago and this place was a recommendation. I ordered smothered chicken that tasted rubbery and bland, macaroni tasted like it had to much flour in the cheese sauce and the greens were soggy and over cooked and bland the sweet potatoes were hard and flavor was off. My son and I were disappointed and we fave the food to a homeless person.

I’m a little bit disappointed because, there was food on the receipt, the short rib portion size was a bit stingy serving only one where as they give you two on Century, also they give you 2 free cornbread muffins but I had to pay for mine on Crenshaw. So unless the Dasher Driver pulled a fast one I’m going to pass on the Crenshaw location.

I seen this spot on Spectrum news. Ever since then I been wanting to try this spot out for soul food. To be honest the food hit the spot. For a white fat boy I had to take 1/2 of the food the home for dinner. The food mad good when I had it for dinner cold. Will return in the near future

You can smell the deliciousness as you drive by, that alone should give you reason to stop. The portions are big so I'd recommend the lunch combo with 2 sides. The fried chicken with greens & mac & cheese are amazing! I'd also recommend the fried fish, mashed potatos, black eyed peas & peach cobbler. If you ordered ahead you can wait at their pick up window around the corner from Crenshaw entrance.

honestly....disappointing. The cornbread was burnt x2, this was the worse (like actually) Mac and cheese I’ve ever bought. Noodles were overcooked, cheese was......nacho? Just nasty. Grilled chicken wasn’t seasoned well. If you live out of state, don’t go here. You’ll paid $15 and have a lot of food you don’t want to eat.

Delicious! Fried chicken not greasy at all and the baked chicken is just as yummy. Mashed potatoes were a little runny but very tasty. We had collard greens, cornbread dressing, mac n cheese, and corn with okra and everything was very delicious. The cornbread muffins were the best I've had. The line goes a little slow but the service is great, everyone is very nice. Overall it was a nice yummy experience and we will definitely go back, but this time we want to try the ox tails that looked sooo goood!! ????

Just deliciousness! The food and service was 5 stars! Generous portions and greeted warmly when we entered. Food was still hot when we got home! Will definitely visit again when in town! Peach cobbler was so good!

Bomb bomb bomb soul food. I will definitely be back ASAP. Everything hit. Mac n cheese, greens, chicken, corn bread stuffing, cornbread, peach cobbler and that lemonade Arnold Palmer tea mix and you get enough for two servings.

This is my first time eating here and I absolutely love it! I ended up getting the "dinner" which was the smothered chicken & comes with three pieces and three sides plus cornbread. I ended up getting a drink as well. My side items I chose was the collard greens, red beans and rice, and the Black Eyed Peas. I really didn't care for the collard greens due to it didn't have enough seasoning for me,. So the next time I go, I'll probably get a double order of red beans and rice or Black Eyed Peas or mashed potatoes (cuz I love potatoes ????) because those were absolutely amazing I didn't have to add any type of ingredients on those I ate them just as is. The smothered chicken was absolutely amazing. I put extra gravy on mine as I love gravy anyway LOL but also the smothered pork chops are amazing as well. I wish that you can do one of each instead of all chicken or all pork chop. Now the drink that I got was lemonade. I will say that the lemonade tasted just like lemonade Kool-Aid. To me you couldn't tell me that it wasn't the lemonade Kool-Aid, But who knows that might be their secret ingredient I don't know. I'm not Downing it if it is, but it does taste straight like Kool-Aid. All in all, to me, it's better than Roscoe's which was our first spot that we were going to go to, but I'm glad that we didn't go there. I'm glad that we came here instead. I can write all day long about it and how I sampled from the people that I was with their food as well, but I'm not going to go into too much more however, I will say that if you're looking for a great soul food place this is by far the best soul food place that I've ever been to..
