Very good food served here. Friendly servers, an food is served hit an fresh. They serve a wide variety of teas. Most of which you won't find in a market's shelves. Just a bit to the expensive side, but quality an portions justify this. Parking is a bit limited but worth the wait.
Very tasty food and large portions for the amount you pay.
One issue though. I was paying at the restaurant, and wanted to round up the tip to an even number. I realized that the system only allows a 15% or an 18% tip. It has a section for Other amount to put in, but it will not allow you to do so.

I’ve been ordering from here for about 5 years and it’s always great. Love the orange tofu & dragon noodles !! Great vegetarian options, and perfect portions when sharing with someone else.

This was my go-to for board game nights, I feel like Chinese food is best shared with a bigger group. The mapo tofu is one of my faves, I love the little spicy peppers in it and the portions are huge! I want to eat in person one day because their tea list is impressive.

Must have been an off night. The noodles were overcooked and mushy, wouldn't hold noodle form when picked up with chopsticks, kind of a noodle paste mess.
And I feel like Larry David saying this, but if you order a dish with protien, you might spend a lot of time playing find the protien. I don't know if they have a standard amount of protien per dish and they really messed mine up, or if what they served me was intentional and the standard is less than half of every other Chinese place I've ever eaten at.
Bad value, below average food.. hopefully it was a one off bad night, but I'm not wasting another Chinese food night on this place.

Last night 2 of my colleagues and I went to try out the Fat Dragon. We ordered the signature Fat Dragon fried rice, Orange Chicken, Braised Tofu and Spicy Wontons. I also ordered the Honey Milk Tea. The food were delicious and you can see that the restaurant use fresh produce and poultry. Our Server, Andrea, was the highlight of our dinner. She’s truly a magnificent host. She gave us ideas on some of what to order and what to compliment the food with. Andrea is a delight who checked on us periodically to make sure we are comfortable and happy! We will definitely be back!

Pretty much every bad review for this place is unwarranted. If you were actually gluten intolerant, you wouldn't be walking in this place to begin with. *HUGE eye roll*.
This place is great. I live along Sunset Blvd so it's a very short walk for me to come here. As someone who lives in the neighborhood, I can promise you will find parking at any time of the day on the following streets near Fat Dragon: Micheltorena, Goldengate, and Maltman(if there isn't any parking out front. . .which there always is).
If you actually enter the establishment with expectation of eating Americanized Chinese Food, you won't be disappointed. If you enter expecting a red carpet rolled out for you and a menu made specifically for you, I recommend trying a dash of humility to get you off that high horse. Then come back and enjoy the food like a normal person with a moderately positive outlook on life would.
The food is good, everyone that works there is very nice and they make their own fortune cookies daily! Will definitely be back multiple times while living in Silverlake!

I really wanted to give this place more stars because the staff was super friendly and when I came in the first time I loved their tea bar. However, they advertised gluten free food, but they don't know what that is or what that means. Both Elouise and I are gluten free because we have to be, not bc it's a fad, so Chinese food has been a big No since being diagnosed for me 10 years ago and my kid recently.
I was a bit reluctant because on their menu nothing is automatically noted GF, which is a sign, because they are running to the BOH to tell them to make stuff GF vs it showing up on the ticket, but I was ok with that bc we were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived. Ordered 4 dishes, 2 of them were not gluten free and we tried both of them. My skin had started to itch so I wasn't surprised when they told us to stop eating. They offered us a full refund and to cook us 2 more dishes that were gluten free. I'm hoping that the chicken and mushroom dish was indeed gluten free. I should have quizzed them on the ingredients but I didn't. The next dish, Honey Walnut Chicken was definitely not gluten free as it was on wanton skins which are generally made with flour and water. I caught that so our special trip for Chinese in Silver Lake was a waste. I could have easily gambled in Alhambra and spent less time in traffic. I'm disappointed. We ended up home at 8:30pm with a frozen gluten free pizza. Could have done that much earlier...:(

They could add more flavor to their dishes. They were flat to me. Nice staff just a rather boring menu.
Wish they offered Thai food instead... If you drive down to China town you will taste the difference immediately! It would be nice to taste the Chinese herbs and spices...
