Smaller restaurant but filled with people and surprisingly sufficient seating space. They have a good variety of different dishes. It is perfect for ordering family style. I was happy with the various dishes we ordered. I can recommend the egg rolls. Although Szechuan might indicate spicy food, the food was not too spicy. You can choose from a prefixed menu or order a la carte. The owners are very friendly and help when it comes to deciding what to order. I enjoyed the different types of people. It was overall a very cozy environment. Depending on time and day the parking might be a little tough to get away with.
The specials that they had at the back of the menu were delicious and well priced we will be back probably a great place to get takeout to but I would know that there’s not a lot of parking around the restaurant

Such a lovely place. My favorite restaurant in LA. The service was awesome! I love the complimentary hot tea and egg rolls. Don't hesitate to go into this place just with the look from the outside! You'll find the best reataurant around here.

-So lucky2 live on same block as Hu's. If I didnt, I'd do what I had2, 2get my food from this restaurant.
-Hosts & hostesses r great, even over the ph, during their busiest hrs.
-Couple wks ago, when pickingup, accidentally grabbed the wrong bag.
-On my next visit, (pickingup, the following wk) host remembered, apologized 4the mixup & completely waived the price! Great place and people. Lucky2 live so close.

You would never know.
You would drive by it and not see it.
You would see it and dismiss it.
And you would miss it.
The vegetable wonton in soup.
The famous string beans.
The spicy cucumber.
So good.
The reviews are real. And for once actually reflect something more than uneducated opinions.

This place is great! I've passed by a million times and it often emits a delicious smell. Went there today finally for takeout, and its being Mother's Day, they were slammed. The order took a bit longer than expected because of the crush. They were gracious and even threw in an order of spicy chilled cucumber. The food we ordered was fantastic and man am I glad they threw in the cucumber! I'll be back just for that. Thank you!

Typical Chinese restaurant. Friendly fast service. Large portions for exceptional prices. You can request MSG free. The wantons have an amazing flavor! Defiantly good to go with multiple people and share dishes because there is a lot to try. Also free cucumber salad which is nice for cleansing the palate. The room is kinda old but not unusual. Can’t believe the value and quality for the price! Hot tea is good, service good food amazing! You do have to order rice separate if you want it with an entree. Would defiantly go again.

Definitely the best Chinese restaurant! Every time I come I get something new and a new favorite! Don’t be scared to try something different and ask for recommendations here. Had beef noodle soup today. Incredible!

We hadn’t been to Hu's in about 10 years. We couldn’t figure out why and decided to give it another try. They were very kind and had good service. I was given a spoon with some dried on sauce on it and the waiter quickly replaced it, apologized, and then comped us some Szechuan cucumbers which was a very nice thing to do. The food however was mediocre in flavor. About what you'd expect with Westside Chinese. We got spicy noodles that were very spicy, which was good, but didn’t have much flavor, which was bad. The green beans also seemed to lack flavor even though they were cooked with pork. My Kung Pao chicken was goopy and had a bit too much ginger for my taste. The one dish we did like was the shrimp, although it seemed a bit pricey. Overall, the experience wasn't awful but wasn't good enough that we'll be back before another 10 years pass.
