Delicious! Vegan menu items were clearly marked, and many were even available on the buffet. I'm not sure what the complaint is from previous reviews, other than that they do serve meat dishes as well as vegetarian and vegan. Additionally, the service was excellent, very attentive wait staff!

Honestly, from the exterior I didn't expect much. However, I found it to have a really good selection for the lunch buffet. Everything was fresh. AND they had my favorites - papadum and tamarind chutney

I came to India's restaurant for the lunch buffet. I called in advance and spoke to a gentleman and asked what was included in the buffet. He was very short, not so friendly, told me they have a lot of things, just come and hung up the phone. So I got in my car and drove down there. He was rude but who cares,.I don't have to sit and eat with him lol. When I got there I knew it was him greeting me. He offered me a booth and then I went straight to the buffet, get right down to business. The buffet was better than I expected. They had a decent amount of options of food. They had salad but I didn't even start there. I went straight for the meats.
I started off with the chicken tikka masala, two lamb dishes, and a vegetarian dish. All of them were very good for buffet food. My second trip was more of the Lamb and more vegetarian options. The lamb had a lot of bones in it I'm not sure of the dishes name but it was actually very good, probably my favorite thing there. The chicken tikka masala was a little bit spicy however I like it more on the sweeter side but it was still good.
For dessert I had their rice pudding and fruit pudding, both were incredible. The fruit pudding was a mango base with chunks of fruit inside, I loved it so much I had two servings of it.
You can sit there and eat all you want for $17.99 which is I think a great deal.
And it includes naan bread and free drinks.
The woman who was helping and greeting people was much more friendly than the guy. She even invited me to stay with her family in India lol.

If you're looking for a good Indian buffet then I would definitely recommend this place. India's restaurant is at the corner of Fountain and Hoover, about 6 minutes east of Hollywood.
They're located in a mini strip mall with self parking on site including handicap parking spots.

It was my 1st time in an Indian restaurant like this 1. Service is friendly and the food is so good. Especially the Alu Samosa since I always wanted to try it, but it's definitely so good. Even the Mango Lassi. So, I highly recommend this place.

This was my first and only time I will be visiting this place. ???? The lunch buffet was small but they have freshly baked nan for you and some of the options in the menu were very tasty just not spicy enough for me. ???? I was eating comfortably until I took a piece of metal out of my mouth that came from the lamb dish.. ????
which I planned on bring up when I ordered my check because they seemed busy but, the lady there did not even give us a chance to do so. I dont know if this is something normal they do there but, it seemed quite rude to us because we were still eating. Without asking she reached for our bottle, pour the rest of the beer and took it. Not long had passed when she comes back TAKES BOTH OF OUR CUPS and CHEERS THEM TOGETHER while saying "you guys are not drinking your beer, cheers, drink, I'll be back with your check" I didn't know if to laugh or cry ???????? but we didn't feel welcomed anymore so we just hurried to pay and left.
I wouldnt go back! but I'll still give them 3 stars because 1 it was not expensive, 2 they have beer, and 3 service seemed rude but attentive ????‍♀️????

Great place for some authentic Indian food. The place is not upscale but if you are looking for truly delicious food then this is the place to be. Although the looks from outside may not seem the best, the seating inside is very comfortable. I ate here after a long day of touring LA and the food was a perfect end to the day with the fast service and great quantity.

Came for the lunch buffet which was delicious! They had tons of options from samosas to tandoori chicken and multiple vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes! It also included warm fresh garlic naan! We also got a few cups of cha each as well as it was so good! My favorite indian restaurant in the area!

We found this place on Yelp! From the great reviews we were expecting it to be amazing and it amazed. We were greeted and sat quickly, service was great by bubbly and she was very friendly from the get go. The place is really authentically cute and great for a first date. Ordered chicken tikka masala, steamed basmati rice, vegetable samosa and garlic naan and half order of tandoori (see photos). The vegetable samosas were super good and come hot right out of the fryer. The tandoori (4 pieces) were so so good too and not dry at all, come on a fajita skillet and served with onions. The tikka Masala was great but standard and I felt the portion was a bit small. Overall great experience and would definitely come back!
