Got recommendations from the waitress to get the homage tofu and it was amazing, great service and great authentic Chinese food
We looked at a TON of reviews for Chinese in this area but the Jade Wok was 100% the right choice for us! The food was flavorful, the service was great, and it’s exactly what we had hoped for.
The portions were also huge! We were so excited for this food. We got the steamed pork dumplings (very close to soup dumplings), beef & broccoli, Kung pao chicken, garlic string beans, and the fried wontons! Every single thing was amazing!
We are from out of town but a home run the first time? Definitely not a fluke. This place is just THAT good!

The experience going here was amazing. What makes going here good was the service. They were so sweet and genuine, nice people :)

They have the best Chinese food in southern California. One of the local merchants recommend it to me and I love their food. It's consistently good.
I stay away from meat but their Roasted Duck is the best. I also love their sweet and sour fish. Their veggies are always so tasty.
Their portions are generous and their service is excellent.
One week I ate there 4x when I was in the area.
Give them a try and you will see why I rave about their food.

Favorite Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, always great service. Been eating here or ordering takeout for 7 years. Family owned by folks that live here in the community. Recommend the house tofu, Shanghai spare ribs, pork chop, honey walnut shrimp, sizzling rice soup. Great community restaurant!

It was an impromptu dinner, it was late, they were about to close. Seems like a family owned and operated restaurant. The food I ordered was fine, didn't jump out from others I had before.
But most definitely will try again, hopefully dine in and with friends.

Stay away. Owner’s wife is very rude with a b attitude. Flies constantly landing on your food. Food is mediocre. Nasty. Wouldn’t come here Even if this was the last Chinese food place on earth.
Don’t forget to bring your flyswatter as they will be constantly buzzing around your table. I tried to give them every chance. Tried to chalk it up to someone just having a bad day. It’s a waste of time to try to give the person the benefit of a doubt when you are simply dealing with a bad person.

Delicious! And affordable too!
It was my mom and I's first time at Jade Wok, but we will definitely be coming back!
The sesame chicken, wor wonton soup, and beef w/ black bean over rice were equally yummy ????. The restaurant has a cool, local vibe and the meat portions were generous (especially in the soup).

Jade Wok is a comfy hidden restaurant in Old Chinatown in Los Angeles. Low priced lunch specials like Chicken with Black Bean Sauce & Mongolian Beef come with steamed rice and soup. Today the Hot and Sour soup was tasty and brought back great memories of the many Chinatown's I have visited. Pros: generous portions for such great prices, mostly full of flavor and fresh. Cons: bit greasy and the Mongolian Beef didn't have the zing others have had.
