Joes Pizza - Hollywood Blvd Reviews

On a quick evening adventure out by Hollywood, we decided on parking and walking down the strip to see what goodies we’d be able to find. Like the sheeple we are, we chose the spot that had the biggest crowd. Like a basic takeout pizza spot, you have a few window bar seats with some tables along the wall. You work your way into the line where you’ll see the great display of wheels all for your choosing. Once ordered, you’ll be able to watch as they grab your order and toss it right into the large ovens behind them. Within minutes you’ll be awarded with a hot piece of ‘za.

We shared a pepperoni slice ($4.25) they’re all around that price mark depending on the toppings. Honestly, this pizza was pretty magnificent. Heating it up made the cheese super pulley and indulgent, while the crust was thin and crisp. Overall a pretty darn good slice. Price wise.. Well it’s pretty pricey for a pizza, with a whole pizza running about $28. Would I drive all the way to Hollywood for this? No, but I definitely would hit it up if we were in and around Hollywood again!

Asked for Pepperoni pizza said they didn't have any and didnt know when they would have more. What kind of pizza place doesnt have pepperoni pizza? and the staff was real winners too. The Employee Hector said to my face he doesn't care about the customers. Go somewhere else if you want options and good services.(why cant I do no stars? one star is too much..)

Manager is rude, but will respect you if your about to smack him, like the previous costumer from australia did.
pizza is good but low on cheese,if you ask for extra cheese you will pay 3 dollars but the amount of cheese will be the same,

Typical NY style pizza (where they take your pre-made slice and reheat it). Decent taste and quality, but not really outstanding. Relatively normal prices for Hollywood Blvd. Unfortunately, you can’t get around the fact that it’s on Hollywood Blvd. and it is a little cramped and there are smells from outside and interesting people (non customers) that wander in.

The more I come here, the more I realize the poor value you get here. Almost $5 for a slice of pizza it’s pretty steep. Options are very limited late nights. Don’t get me wrong l, they taste pretty good. But by far not the BEST pizza in LA, and centrality not for the value.

Came in on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty, but busy nonetheless.

Ordered a slice of pepperoni. The pizza had been sitting out, but they reheated it in the pizza oven, so it came out quickly. The pizza itself was decent, but it didn't wow me.

The environment was small and easy for a quick bite. Only a couple tables in the back for seating groups of people. Otherwise just bar seating. It did feel a little outdated inside.

This place needs a reality check. While they have some of the better pizza in the area their customer service is incredibly bad. They have a breaded eggplant topping. Breaded eggplant is what you put on pizzas except today when you decided to use raw eggplant. And once again, not answering the phone at all... never again.

Pizza was ok. Its supposed to be NY style pizza but my slice of barbecue chicken is both worst NY style pizza and BbQ chicken I have ever had. The crust was dry and stiff. Could not fold it in half without the crust cracking. They reheat the pizza in the joven so that might have made it worse. My daughters alice of pepperoni was ok but also hard crust due to the reheating
My husband ordered the calzone which looked great. He tore his up so I suspect nothing wrong with the fresh baked items. My daughter and I had cannolis. They were just ok. Thick dough which means they fried it longer so the shell wasn't as tasty. The best thing that I had was probably the Caesar salad which was fresh.
I wouldn't mind coming here again just not coming for the pizza....

Definitely don't want to come back to Joe's Pizza. I was here on a Monday night and received some super slow service. I had just finished watching a movie at the ArcLight and was starving. There was one party in front of me. The worker took forever to help them. All he had to do was take their pizza order, toss them into the over, and ring them up. It was clearly complicated because he waited for their pizza to heat up first before helping anyone else in line. There was one guy behind me. We could have easily had all of our pizzas in the oven at the same time, but instead he chose the slower option. Didn't seem to care about, much including basic human interaction. The slices of pizza aren't the cheapest either, but pretty decent pizza.

Maybe they're used to waiting on big/drunk crowds after a nights out. I understand that it's just a quick spot for pizza, but I just expected more. I felt obligated to leave a dollar tip on the credit card, but definitely didn't want to.
