The menudo is really good!! And people here are so friendly!
Opens early! Food is decent and service is pleasant. It’s on the inside of of the Olvera St. walk. On this street with many choices this place puts out consistent fare at a reasonable price. Tried some chilaquiles and did not disappoint. It’s in a nice little space and some counter spots too. It does get busy and might be a wait. This is a walk only street and plenty of parking choices nearby or public transit. Recommend if in this area.

Small restaurant with a pleasant, homey atmosphere. Nothing particularly spectacular with the food or service.

Very filling and tasty Mexican food in the heart of Olvera Street. You can’t go wrong with their taquitos. I love the variety of food choices as well. Definitely try their jamaica or horchata as a drink too.

RACIST! if you are black they I'll serve you the old, expired food. Paid 20 bucks for a red enchilada plate and the put half a scoop of CHICKEN in each. Aren't red enchiladas beef? Ordered two cheese tamales that were at least 2 days old. Mind you I ordered this at 7:30 this morning. Really sad you can't even experience a decent meal because of the color of your skin smh. Served me all old salsas as well. I love Mexican food, this was very upsetting and unfair when I pay money like everyone else. I work with the city and we are here every week. They definitely discriminated against me from the moment I called and placed my order. Rushed me off the phone to provide poor quality food.

Any time I am in LA I make it a point to come to Olvera street and eat at La Noche Buena. The food, prices and atmosphere are all amazing. Service was prompt and the food came quickly and was delicious. If you want quality Mexican food at good prices with a unique atmosphere you need to go here.

I've been trying more menudo so now I kinda know what to expect in terms of taste, what is in the dish, etc. Besides the different stomach parts, you can also add pork feet (chân giò) in the menudo here. I tried and didn't really like that since it made the soup too fatty; I think the original version would be better for me. Here, you can have menudo with normal tortillas and fried ones. The place is pretty small. But even if you have to wait for a table, you can walk around and see the different shops on Olvera street, so the wait wouldn't be bad at all.

On Earth Day I traveled to Union Station LA via Metrolink, walked to Olvera Street for breakfast, I ordered the machaca it came with rice and beans and corn tortillas, great taste and good salsas, worth a visit when at Olvera Street.
