The best croissant in LA !
I have been looking for a good bakery in LA and I have finally found it.
The taste is fresh and typically Parisian…
My favorite place to have a coffee and eat some excellent french pastries…

One thing I really appreciate La Tropezienne is that it stays true as an authentic French bakery, no scones, muffins, or cookies just delicious croissants, tarts, and baguettes.

I'm a big croissant lover and La Tropezienne's croissants are more similar to what you get in Paris than some of the American bakeries here. They are light, golden, and buttery. Not necessarily the crunchiest but definitely have nice flakes. La Tropezienne also makes twice baked croissants in special flavors like pistachio, which are tasty too. Another item I had and enjoyed is the dulce de leche, a caramel filled croiffin.

Overall my experiences here have been great. Service wise, the cashier lady isn't super warm, it's exactly the stereotype service one would expect. On the other hand, if it's the other guy, maybe the baker, behind the counter, he is the best, I like his direct, warm vibe.

Our first time here this morning and from the moment we entered we were greeted with smiles from those at the counter as well as the baker! There were so many wonderful choices and we bought several truly authentic French pastries! The Tropézienne framboise was truly delicious and the right amount of sweet - and the lemon meringue tart as well. We will be returning and highly recommend!

Almond Croissant is very tasty. I would love to taste other products. There is no parking space but you can park in the residential area up to 2 hours. French Café on La Brea Blvd.

Horrible experience. The owners left some girl in charge who had no idea what to do; she was on FaceTime with her AirPods in talking when she was helping another client. When I told her we placed an order for pick up she just kind of shrugged her shoulders that the app wasn’t working today. I asked if I could order it from her. Ice coffee, a soda and two baguettes with ham. ‘No the kitchen is closed’ was her answer at 2pm. ‘ The owners are in France so this is all I can do.’

A classic Parisian style bakery that is a staple in Los Angeles. There are some table set up for dining and the mixed fruit berry tart was reasonably fresh though the blueberries were a little on the soggier side

Best French pastries in LA!!!! Nothing comes close to tasting like this place in the city when it comes to authentic French pastries, not even some of the best bakeries and restaurants around can compete. I’m saying this as a huge dessert connoisseur who is wildly particular. I also patronize all the acclaimed places for sweet treats. Whenever I’ve gifted these desserts to anyone they’ve completely freaked out over them, asked where they’re from and have gone back for more.

I just read a review of a guy who said this place lacks flavor and that the pastries taste store bought. All I can say is the guy can’t possibly know quality desserts (or food for that matter) and/or he has a horrible diet and thinks anything with massive amounts of sugar is “good.”(Ie. meaning he eats so much sugar that the pastries not overwhelmingly full of sugar “lack flavor.”)

The pastries are perfectly sweet and not overloaded with sugar, and they have a lighter, fluffier taste. You can taste the quality - their butter and flour is flown in from France. I’ve been here countless times and it always tastes amazing and consistent. Absolutely the best, most authentic French bakery in Los Angeles!!!!

This place has the best Lemon meringue tart in the world!!! Other baked goods taste great as well, and their hot cafe latte is also good. Also the owner is really kind.

Finally an authentic French place in LA that is truly delicious and exceptionally qualified!
I was suggested this place by a French person and she knew how many "fake" French restaurants you can find here, she insured me that I won't be disappointed and she was right.
We came here for a quick brunch bite. For some reason, the food we ordered was taking a bit longer than expected, but we were gladly taken care of and were offered a complementary dessert for the wait.
I am definitely coming back at least until I try all the pastries!

Food - 5 stars
Service - 5 stars
Place and environment - 5 stars (it's on a smaller size though)

⭐️ croissants!!! Absolutely divine!
⭐️ coffee
⭐️ pastries
⭐️ bread
⭐️ service

???? not too many options as for regular food
???? tables could feel small
???? a bit pricey, but your taste buds will thank you.

Update:
⭐️ never have I ever spent so much on a few pastries as the whole cake would cost me, but it was the best experience of my life! They are so full of flavor and are pure delight and heaven!!!
