Excellent value and quality. It's a hidden gem on Westwood and requires reservations. They serve the entire room at once and are very strict on punctuality. It's so worth it though.
Truly excellent dining experience. Everything was incredibly thoughtful and of the best quality. Would recommend for any big birthday or anniversary dinner. Start to finish was all so good. Will definitely go there again. When you call for reservations, you do have to confirm with him on the day of the reservation as well

The experience wasn’t terrible but I wouldn’t go back. When I pay a certain amount for an omakase, I expect exceptional experience but my experience was meh to mediocre. The sushi was small with thin slices, minced cucumber placed on top of the fish didn’t pair well with some and most importantly, some fish didn’t taste fresh. Now that I’m thinking back on the details of my experience, I’m more disappointed. Oh, they charge you for hot tap water.

Such a hidden gem. Sushi was so fresh. The flavors were so unique at the same time. Highly recommend it.

I called and made a reservation two days in advance. They never told me to re-confirm. Then they cancelled our reservation and left me a message. I called them back and said we were still committed to coming - nothing had changed. They were beyond rude and unprofessional and yelled at me over the phone that our reservation was already cancelled. I would never want to eat the trash that a disrespectful person like this would create. There are better restaurants with outstanding customer service and kindness.

I cannot express how amazing this meal was. Shin is an amazing chef. His humble, funny, and kind chat made our dinner. Not a single piece of sushi wasn’t perfect. Many changed how I thought of sushi. Highlights were the black snapper (cured with kelp), ebi, bluefin, and sea breem. Japanese mackerel was perfect. It’s wonderfully chill and homey inside. Well worth twice the price. Couldn’t imagine another trip to LA without visiting. Would give 6 stars if possible.

Fantastic quality of fish and value for authentic omakase. The chef is terrific and the restaurant has limited seatings. A true sushi gem on the Westside.

I’ve eaten here twice and both times were excellent Meals. I was thoroughly impressed with the selection and quality of the fish in the friendliness of the staff. I would highly recommend the Omakase and say it’s one of the best hidden gems in West Los Angeles

Hidden gem. One of the best omakase experiences in LA. Amazing quality fish, creative dishes and a small intimate dining experience. Make sure to make reservations, have a couple of hours & a adventurous palate. A+ for the authentic sushi experience. Chef’s choice only.

This is one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to. I took my partner here for out anniversary (short notice--which i suspect i wont be able to get away with in the future!) and it was beyond worth it! The perfect anniversary. When we got home he saud it was the best sushi we had had in a long time.
The quality was bettter than good--it was superb. The chef tried things before he gave them to us, to ensure that everything was "chef reccommended"--and explained what he liked about each piece of fish he served us. He only serves the very highest quality of fish, and at one point, after trying one, determined it wasnt good enough to serve. He was a perfectionist, very focused on providing an exceptional experience.
Even the pieces i dont usually like were incredible. They werent just beautiful fish on wonderful rice--they were individually made dishes intended to be not just incredible, but best on class.
The chef only serves six people at a time, even though the restaurant is big enough to serve more. He cares deeply about the quality he provides, and it really shows.
the decor was beautiful, and felt both classic and modern. It is a quiet and intimate experience.
I would reccomend this place to anyone.
