This place is worth going a little out of the way for. Tucked in a little plaza, it's a really nice little restaurant with fantastic dumplings! We had a mix of fried, soup, and boiled dumplings - all of them were perfection. The soup dumplings were probably the best out of the lot. We also tried the steamed buns (beef bun in the picture) - they didn't disappoint either. The service is also really great here, everyone was extremely friendly. Definitely make the drive over if you're nearby.
This place is great. I've gone a couple times now and each time has been just as delicious. It's easy to tell that the dumplings are made on the spot because they are always hot. It can get a little pricey depending on how many things you order but it hasn't stopped me from returning.

Veggie dumplings mmmm. Lovely buns. One request: please add a version of the snow crab dumplings with no pork!

My go-to restaurant when I’m in LA. I found out about Mason’s on DoorDash a couple years ago and it’s weaved it’s way into my taste bud’s heart! Vegan Chicken Bowl is my favorite and I almost get the dumplings too. Really tasty, quality food.

Cute spot. Vegan dumplings are not it. Super bland. Vegetarian rice bowl was pretty good, but the vegan meat was pretty dry. Bf got the pork buns, and they were also under seasoned and dry. Seaweed salad was delicious though!

First time here and the dumplings were great.
Space is a bit limited but the great thing is that you can always choose takeout.
Service could be a bit better in my opinion. Girl in the front with glasses could have been a bit more helpful but luckily the other server helped us out to make sure we got the order right.
If it's your first time here or never had dumplings before this is a good spot to get yourself acquainted. The menu is straightforward, simple and easy to order.
Will definitely go again.

This place is awesome! Definitely a nice hidden gem in Highland Park. The restaurant is in a little strip mall. The restaurant is counter service. The food comes out super fast. You can be in and out in like 25 mins depending how fast you eat. The restaurant isn't too big. There are about 6 tables and about 5-6 counter seats against the wall or window. This place might be hard to sit big groups. There is one picnic table that can seat 6-7.
Onto the food. We got two buns and two different types of dumplings. We got the angus beef bun and the stewed pork belly bun. Both had very tasty meat that was super tender and flavorful. The meat was so tender that they fell apart if you tried picking it up with a chopstick. The only issue I had with the bun was the hot chili oil that was on the bun. It made the bun soggy and fall apart. It was difficult to eat without destroying the bun. In addition I think too much chili oil was sprinkled on. I think they should let people who want it out it on. But the meat tasted really good and it was a decent portion.
The dumplings were excellent. The boiled dumplings with pork and shrimp were spot on. They were super fresh and tasty. They are nicely sized and you get a decent portion. The soup dumplings were spot on. They were nice and soupy inside. Make sure to grab them from the top and sprinkle a little ginger and vinegar on top! They come out pretty hot so be careful.
I know I'll definitely be back. I know I want to try the pan fried dumplings and a rice bowl. Everyone seemed to be eating those. The buns were good but I would definitely prefer the dumplings. It was nice to try the buns but they were ok. There is parking in the small lot but lots of street parking and a parking lot nearby. Definitely great place and reasonably priced. Definitely will be on my monthly rotation.

Nice little dumpling place in the middle of the least expected place. I liked the juicy pork, but vegetable dumplings were better. Pan fried dumplings were pretty decent. The boiled leak dumplings were a bit salty for me, but they were not bad. Clean, affordable, and tasty. Frankly, I was getting tired of Din Tai Fung, so this place was a great alternative, like Dan Noodles.

Modest, clean, small and superb dumplings. I ordered the 8 piece steamed vegetarian dumplings. Delicate and thin rice shells with a finely chopped and savory mixture of veggies. The soy/vinegar sauce provided the perfect balance. I would go back to try other dishes as well.
