This place was soooo GOOD, it was empty and I felt Like Pulled up on my uncles and they made me breakfast, and it was affordable!!!! I love places like this, can't wait to go back!!!

Service and food 5 plus stars.
I have had the pancake special the rib dinner and chicken and waffles. Good fresh food serviced by two really kind welcoming Gentlemen in a very comfy cozy spot and the prices are very fair. I highly recommend this location.

My first initial visit, I fell in love with Mel's warmth, sincerity, great service. The food is great! I would suggest anyone go there for some home, fresh, southern food.
Mel's diner is a winner! Two thumbs up!

The restaurant was very lively and busy with great energy throughout dinner. By the time we were finished many tables were available so we did not feel rushed to turn over and move along.

Mel’s Cafe is a great little local spot. The Mac and cheese, blacked peas and cabbage were delicious. The breakfast deal with pancakes can’t be beat. Can’t wait to go back and try the meat loaf.

Small corner joint, Turkey wings AHHH!!!! Hard to compete with the quality and quantity of servings and service. Just about as close to the porch at grandma's house as a cafe can be, love it.
