Ps. Beef noodle comes out in a big portion with enough meat so I didn't add any extra meat but if you're a meat lover you may add some

Love this place.it is open kitchen style. The location is kind of odd. Food is yummy. The combo is good choice which includes appetizer and bottomless mungbean drink. Service is good. Noodle selection and the soup are nice. Not that impressive is the tip option which 18% as starting option and I don't like when someone stare at me when I pay. They use tablet as the payment device and didn't provide paper invoice. You see the bill on the tablet.

I was really excited to find out Mian had a branch close to where I live. Now, I don't have to drive all the way to SGV.

Everything was great. My only disappointment was my mapo tofu noodles didn't have much umami. The zhajiang noodles were perfect though, as were the dumplings and cold appetizers.

The interior of the restaurant was clean and wait staff were attentive.

Really great place for Chinese noodles.

We ordered the Jaziang noodles and cold noodles, both of which were amazing. As someone who can’t really handle spice, their spice levels were pretty mild. We got 2/3 for both of the noodles and it was very manageable. Dumplings and cold cucumbers were also really good. The only thing that didn’t quite hit was the fried rice, which was slightly bland.

Had dinner and really enjoyed the meal. The stars of the show were probably the chili oil wontons (very juicy and lots of pork with a thin dough layer) and the jia jiang noodles. The thing about the in person menu that is helpful is that they have a spicy meter as well as a numbiness meter indicating how much peppercorn is being used and you can thereby choose the dish most appropriate to your taste or even discover what works best for your palette. The decor inside is newly renovated and minimalist with lots of wood and metal touches. The furniture is quite heavy so just be ready for that lol

Solid lunch at Mian. Our third visit and things were very yummy. Szechuan peanuts rock as does do the small appetizers like the wood ear mushrooms and seaweed salad.

Enjoyed the thousand year egg dish far more than at other restaurants - creamy and mild. Good idea with the green salsa!

The noodles are super. We loved the spicy beef rib noodles. This time we also got the mapo tofu and tomato and beef noodles. No disappointments yet!

(FYI, the main street parking--W. Adams--has only 1 hour parking. I ended up parking on the little side streets which had 2 hr.) Came for a belated birthday lunch for a friend and was delightfully surprised. The images on the website doesn't give the decor justice. Our waitress was new but attentive and hilarious. The mung bean tea is absolutely delicious and they have free refills--unfortunately they dont sell it separately otherwise I would have bought some.

All those that live in West LA and love Mian even before this branch opens, REJOICE! ????

First off, I got to try my first Mian at the San Gabriel's branch. It took me about 45 minutes to drive there so I got really excited when I learn about a new branch being opened so near from where I live. ????

Anyhow, in regards to the food, always amazing! I wasn't disappointed as they taste exactly the same at this branch. For those who are trying out Mian for the first time and you can take spice, go for their ChengDu ZaJiang Noodle as it is my favorite. The noodle's texture is cooked to perdection, the seasoning isn't too salty and I like how they add vegetables ???? in there too! I recommend getting their fried chicken as well as they are pretty crispy and crunchy. ????

As for drinks, it is pretty standard here to order their Mung Bean Tea (if you are coming with a party of 2, better to only order 1 cup and share it as they do free refill).

Side note, the menu in this branch is a little Americanized as there are some items missing like intestines (I know, you probably moved your neck backwards after reading this, but they are delicious!). ????

** I RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT if you love Asian noodles and appreciate good service! **

Recently opened. Glad to have more proper Chinese food on the Westside so I was waiting to try this place, having been to Chengdu Taste, the first restaurant this group started. Think of it as a casual noodle centric outpost of CT. The dishes we got were a bit hit and miss. Chengdu Zhajiang noodles fell a little flat flavor wise, enough chili oil but needs more of that soy vinegar base. Dumplings like the potstickers and the wontons/chao shou were decent. But the other dishes shined, solid house special lamb that’s the Sichuan toothpick style, my friends spicy beef rib noodle soup was good, and my favorite dish was their crispy skin fried chicken, really good, kind of similar to Thai style ones. Meat was juicy and tender, skin was very crunchy. Would absolutely order that again. For drinks, their mung bean tea was good, sweet, but not cloyingly.

Service was a bit spotty, inattentive, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt since they’re still new. There’s also canned cocktails, beer, and natural wines.
