One of the oldest restaurant in Hollywood, where Frank Sinatra and Johnny Depp used to be a regular in here. Tried their steak and pasta, both were perfectly cooked and came with large portion (even too much for me). The place also has a valet parking on the back for $12, so you don’t need to fuss over finding parking to dine here. Will come back again the next time I am visiting LA.
This is the true " Old Hollywood " experience.
From walking in the door, to the personal greeting when checking in, to the impeccable service, it's very obvious why this place is through after all these years.
Glorious old decor. Non pretentious dishes made to perfection. Wait staff in awesome red jackets.
No wonder Hollywood doesn't just eat here, they fill here too !
A very memorable experience.

Musso & Frank Grill is a Hollywood institution. We dined there while visiting the area. The service was outstanding, our wait staff was very attentive and timed our dishes perfectly. It has an old school vibe, the decor is very classy. Know for their martinis, they serve them in a classic martini glass and they leave a carafe in ice with the remnants that didn’t fit in the glass. The menu is a classic mix of American steakhouse with an Italian flair. The salads are large, it could be easily shared between two if not three people. The food was excellent, the veal schnitzel was fork tender, the arugula, shaved parmigiana, and prosciutto topping was delicious. If you are in the Hollywood area, I would suggest that you make a reservation and prepare yourself for an excellent meal. Side note, the dress code says “Business Casual” we saw a wide variety in clothing, from suits to shorts.

Musso and Frank is one our family’s favorite restaurants. The service is impeccable. it’s so lovely to go somewhere that has a history. The Mac and Cheese is the best I’ve ever had. I still dream about it. My filet was delicious. They are known for their perfect martinis. Make sure to make reservations.

Okay we came down to Hollywood to go to the Hollywood Bowl to see a concert. So we decided to come have a pre concert dinner here at this restaurant! :-) have a nice fine dinner before enjoying the John Fogerty concert! :-) we got there right at opening time and we're seated immediately! The food was excellent and the service was excellent as well! :-) I had the Braves short rib and my lady had the seared scallops and they were all delicious! :-) we have been here before and we will come back again! :-)

We are still raving about our dinner last night at Musso and Franks! Brian our waiter was just great! The entire staff are welcoming and attentive, you feel more like family than a customer. The food, absolutely perfect and delicious, from the tomato and onion salad to the best scallops! Don't get me started on the desserts! ???? Can't wait to go back.

I had been wanting to go here for some time, probably more for the history than anything else. It's not the only restaurant of it's kind that exists in LA but it is one of the oldest and you do get a sense of walking back in time stepping into the place. Loving food and history, places like this are a good mine for me.
I didn't particularly have any expectations of the food, I knew it should be at a fairly high standard while keeping to its old traditional recipes. The dishes, while not intended to be sharable or family style were decent size. We got the Steak Tartar as an appetizer, both my wife and I like it quite a bit. Served with a traditional Quail egg to break at the table and stir into the finely diced steak. The bread served with it was also very good.
My wife got a lobster dish but while good, the cream sauce was a bit much especially since we had gotten potatoes au gratin as a side with the 12 oz. Filet Mignon. Filet was very well cooked, medium to medium rare with a great crust all around. We also had asparagus as a side which came with a butter or hollandaise like sauce, again very good.
When it came to dessert, the Brioche bread pudding seemed like the obvious choice. It's rare I pick anything else if bread pudding is on the menu and this is where we were left disappointed. You can tell the same amount of effort wasn't put into the pudding as the appetizers, mains and sides.
The other gripe I had was how claustrophobic the place felt on a busy Saturday night. I understand some might find this to be part of the charm being that it was built over 100 years ago but tables are all back to back and you feel every bit of movement from the party behind you and mine in particular were extra active.
I'm not sure if I'd want to go back given how many top restaurants there are still in LA that I've yet to visit but I'm glad we got to go and I'd still very much recommend people to go

We had a great dinner and drinks with outstanding service. Starting with a traditional gin Martini and a Vesper Martini. Duck confit and prime rib were our main courses, finished with splitting a 1919 dessert and coffee. Followed by an adult dessert of a Old Fashion and a Manhattan. Portions are generous and very tasty. Ian and Sunny are masters at the bar, Nick was an outstanding server of our meal and Serge lead us through our wines with our starters and main courses as our sommelier. We highly recommend dining at Musso and Frank Grill.

We made reservations to come on Thursday for chicken pot pie. We arrived early & were seated right away. We were served 1/2 loaf sourdough bread & butter. We shared appetizer that was delicious!! My wife had martini and I had a coke that we both enjoyed! We both ordered chicken pot pie. They were filled with shredded chicken & vegetables, including potatoes and best we’ve enjoyed!! We ended with apple cobbler with ice cream and latte. There was a face on top of latte that was cute. We’ve been wanting to come here on Thursday for several years and worth the wait.

Amazing food and even better service. There’s a reason this place has been around for 102 years. For an appetizer, we had the shrimp cocktail. The cocktail sauce was delicious. Our waiter said there are 11 different ingredients in it. For our main courses, we had the scallops and the prime rib and both were amazing. We will definitely come back for special occasions.
