The Siu Yeh 燒嘢 menu is amazing. HK street food meets yakitori = flavor bombs on skewers.
Highly recommend the Pork Jowl and Mushroom skewers.
Needles is a great place to grab Cantonese in a simple and beautiful space. The plating is zen and the food is excellent. We especially love their sauces. We like dining inside the well thought out decor, if you intend to dine outside try not to go at rush hour.

The very best in my book. I can't wait to see more of chef Ryan's work in the future. It's sad that this location is closed but we all hope for the best for the team and their amazing journey coming up next! Good luck.

The char siu here is out of this world, such juicy high quality meat! We came for the pork chop bun but they told us they haven’t had this on the menu for over a year now :(
They were a little slow with our order however the food made up for it. Second Dish is the udon which was ok. The lychee basil seed drink was also delicious.

Service was subpar, they didn’t provide napkins nor utensils, also they nearly forgot about out rice. A couple that arrived 30 minutes after we ordered received their food at the same time we did. And then, when the food came, it was bland. The shrimp sauce was sandy and the chicken flavorless. Also, you should avoid the duck, it was not good.
I have to say the concept has potential, but the right execution is missing.

i don't understand why this place isn't more popular. I have ordered from this place a few times, their menus are fun and creative. really good executions of the dishes. well balanced. love the details you may not notice.

I tried the skewer tasting menu, I would say it’s a Chinese flavor ft. Japanese cooking method type of experience.
They use charcoal which brings the food so much flavor and personally I love vegetables better because they catch the charcoal flavor better than meat.
Compares to other tasting menu, the portion is smaller(probably not enough for a grown male), and some of the dishes were too salty for me.
Overall I think it’s a fun experience.

Amazing and authentic food! I know because I go to Hong Kong a lot. Make sure you order the lemon tea and soy milk - they're the treasure of HK lolol
