Great Izakaya. I like to come here for all sorts of delicious Japanese foods (not just sushi, although their sushi is also top notch).
It's definitely not the cheapest Japanese restaurant, but you don't go here for cheap eats... This a restaurant you go to enjoy Japanese dishes and flavors you typically can't experience elsewhere.
I HIGHLY recommend taking a shot at some menu items you might not consider. The croquettes and hotpots are delicious
Fresh fresh sushi ever! Food is kinda pricey but it’s worth your money. Nice staff and friendly place to eat sushi in LA area. I wish they have a bigger parking space. Go here if you want to experience Japanese food.

Expected better at this price point. Nothing was particularly amazing. The dessert was the best thing, which is a weird conclusion from a sushi/izakaya restaurant. The outdoor seating leaves something to be desired as well.

Fantastic Sushi! Sat next to the chefs. The fish was delicious and the chefs were happy to talk about the fish! Will definitely come here again

Awesome sauce service and food! Staff was very nice and courteous! We had chicken liver and eggplant skewers and the uni scallop carpaccio to start. Then the sushi-sashimi lunch, as well as the seared Saba-Mackarel don rice bowl with pickled Japanese veggies. Ended things with their green tea mochi cake with ice cream and dried persimmon cream cheese dessert. Seafood was fresh and decadent. Elegant flavors on the pickles.

The fish was so fresh, service was great, and the unique izakaya touches were top notch.
That broth... Omg.. Its heavenly.
It's worth the wait if you're in the silver lake area. Better yet, make a reservation as the place gets packed...or you can chance a seating and just pop in.

This place is wild. Everybody tryna get in here it seems ????. But for good reason. All the sushi cuts here are amazing quality. I’m a big portion eater though, so the toro + uni bowl was not enough. I’d order a few appetizers or one other entree on top of it.

Had the pleasure of trying out this cute little, intimate Izakaya spot!
We tried:
- Sushi premium omakase
- Beef tongue
- Mushroom
- Miso cod
- Chicken skin
- Eggplant
- Bacon wrap shrimp
- Bacon wrap enoki
- Shishito pepper
- Hamachi Kama
- Toro uni bowl
- Spicy tuna on crispy rice
The sushi omakase came with some really premium cuts and it was super fresh. The o-toro was an absolute dream. It’s so buttery, I’m still drooling thinking about it. Would definitely come back for the sushi and 10/10 would REC the omakase.
I would also RECOMMEND the Toro Uni bowl. It came with seaweed on the side to allow you to create the perfect bite with the uni, toro and ikura. The uni and toro were so fresh, paired with the pop of salt from the ikura, that’s perfection.
The hamachi kama, was also very delicious. I would RECOMMEND this as well. The skin was so crispy and the fish meat was so soft on the inside. But it was the sauce really took it to the next level!
The spicy tuna on the crispy rice was nice and crunchy with a nice kick to it. Would recommend this for sushi pizza lovers!
We tried a variety of skewers and most were good, but the mushroom was really dry. I would SKIP the mushroom for sure. Nothing super special about the skewers but it does make for a great snack. The miso cod was my fav and would eat that one again.
The biggest downfall is that the parking is hectic. The lot is very small and I would recommend street parking instead.
Overall, I would return for the sushi for sure and would def try more items!

Portions were good, the prices were high. But the fish quality was also high. Service was efficient and good. Dining area was tiny. My only complaint was the ac was so cool that it made my food cold very fast. I will sit outside next time. The restaurant had someone in their taking a video as seen in photo posted below. He was giving all the dishes he received a really good review. Definitely will go again to treat myself. But it is too cost prohibitive for the way I like to order sushi???? to go weekly.
Edit: I’ve ordered take out and ate at a table since my first visit. Today, they sat me at the Sushi bar. Lunchtime, it was a chance to see the kitchen operating. It was a well oiled machine no less than 5 guys in the cooking area prepping and making food. All was as it should be. This is the only restaurant I will eat Uni/Sea Urchin. It only keeps a few days then goes bad. Here it is always fresh.

Crowded, make reservations if you can. The outdoor space is partially enclosed and visually pleasant but is subject to the loud noise and smells of Sunset Boulevard.
The menu is good, the food is exceptional and a great value for portion and quality.
We had the Chirashi bowl for $36 which easily feeds two.
The service is fast if perfunctory.
