We came on a Friday evening. We ordered an appetizer (Scrampi Piccanti) an entree (Famous(!) Wood Oven Grilled Salmon) and the Hercules Pizza.

Scrampi Piccanti was unexpectedly good and was the best course. ($20+)

Their famous salmon was a disaster. Being a small salmon, it was covered with herbs on top but at the same time it was topped with chunky salt. Every bite ended up with drinking water. ($36)

Pizza had a very thick dough and the bottom of the pizza was very wet. ($24)

Chocolate cake was made very properly and tasted good.

The wine menu had good bottles but a weak wine by the glass section. Go with Pinot Grigio and Super Tuscan if you are looking for wine by the glass.

Won’t come back for dinner.

The salmon is amazing. Crispy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside. Highly recommend this place. Great atmosphere and you can color on the table!!

The salmon dishes were amazing. Also the Neptune Pie as a pizza. For meat eaters the Hercules pizza was very very good. And of course to top it off the chocolate cake was bomb. Our server was great also along with wonderful Pinot Noir.
Will be back for sure

Good Italian food in cozy atmosphere away from the crazy downtown Hollywood crowd. If you want to eat with the locals and get way from the tourists this is your place. Plenty of free parking and ride share gets you here as well. Pace is on my list of places to eat again when visiting the area.

Overall a delicious meal in a beautiful part of LA. It would fall into the hidden gem category for me as it’s too small to host the large amounts of tourists or the college crowd like some other places can/usually do, but that can be a good thing sometimes. Parking is very hard in this area so valet is the best bet ($10), but the lot they use is very small so when crowded you may have to wait a bit. Our server was a bit inattentive and took awhile to come to our table, but she was very nice and all the busers were so quick with the refills and removing the plates it made up for it.

I love the look of the place on the inside, it’s brick lined with fish tanks on the walls and darkly lit which really creates a welcoming mood and would be great for a date but also works for casual as well. I started off with the appetizer special, the Dungeness Crab & Buratta and it was very good. The crab was a great start to the meal although it was a bit expensive. For my entrée I chose the local Red Snapper which was truly delicious and cooked perfectly. I ate every bit of it and would get it again.

I would recommend to anyone looking for a great meal at a more off the usual path location. There are not many, if any, sit down dinner options in this immediate area so it’s nice to have this option.

Food was good. Nothing out if the ordinary. I had the Grouper fish, with Brussel sprouts and rice. My date had the lamb shank and that was saved delicious. I'll give them another try. It treat restaurants like a baseball game. Three strikes and you're out.

The best think about this restaurant is chocolate cake. Their reservation system should be updated since there is no indoor- outdoor option. Waited our orders 45 mins, hercules pizza was wet and salmon was so salty. We were very disappointed!

A hidden neighborhood gem with extraordinary food service, garden atmosphere and even history (formerly pizza legend, Ed LaDou's CAIOTI before his Spago fame). The "must-try" cured salmon and crusty homemade bread alone are enough for a destination drive. The menu says it all:salmone affumicato ($25) house smoked salmon carpaccio with shaved fennel, radish & flora bella farm arugula with extra virgin olive oil & meyer lemon juice. Also recommend the off-the-menu cioppino- even though the potatoes were nearly raw, it didn't take away from the overall experience. Add to that traffic and a bit of a tricky park in the valet $10 parking lot next door. Note: one of those places where you paid more attention to the experience than taking photos!
