I've always loved Paul's kitchen but hadn't been there since 2005..the soup was the bomb the best won ton soup I've ever tasted and I will be going back on my next visit to Cali
Amazing hidden LA gem, my family has been coming here since I started crawling in the mid 70's, now I have a family of my own and they absolutely love this restaurant. My 3yr old daughter is such a picky eater however that didn't stop her she loved the eggrolls, egg drop soup and Chicken fried rice, so many dishes to choose from, everything is pipping hot, fresh, made to order and sooooo delicious!

Best wonton soup I've had in a long while. Good tasting food. I tried the special fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. Although this place cooks up tasty food it is expensive. 2 wonton soups, special fried rice, and 2 egg rolls will be $45.

Been going to this place since 1980. Best Chow Mein anywhere. Highly recommend. Food is delicious. Portions are tremendous. Love this place.

Been coming for 35 years. My favorite ever. My go to is Chicken Chow mein, shrimp fried rice, BBQ pork (I get center cut. The hubs gets end cuts) and of course wor wonton soup. Now even living near Temecula we make the 1 and a half hour drive to have Paul's. All waiter are good. But our favorite is Sunny (we call him Henry) we go so much that as soon as we walk in he knows our order. Portions a great. Just an FYI it's only CASH.

My favorite thing was the soup, employees were very friendly. Chicken salad was not good and just thrown together. Place is runned down.

We order the house special fried rice which comes with chicken, chasu and shrimp and this guy have the nerves to tell me that they chop it up small in it. See picture for proof and on top of that his customer service was not so great about the situation. Like how are you going to tell us to put it in the fridge and bring it back and you'll make us a new one. We don't have time for that we are on lunch and have to clock back in soon. I told him I took a picture and can show him the next time qe go there but he insist on us bringing the food back. We hungry here. We had no choice but to eat it without the good works. Smh . Customer service at its finest alright. At least give us a discount on our next purchase if so.

An iconic old hangouts for Dodgers fans, locals who want chop suey style dishes. And their delicious vegi, noodles dishes, aluminum wrapped chicken dish! Spoked with Charlie, his 40+ years working here. A historical site in the early days of downtown Los Angeles. And great parking convenience on site!

This place gives you that old school “I just got out of work” diner feel.. I love that rustic feel the interior gives off! I didn’t dine in because I was in a rush to get back and finish a movie on Netflix (Freaks) but the servings size was phenomenal! Food was great I have had egg foo yang that good since I moved to California! They only take cash so make sure you have cash before you enter & the staff have that old school “What you want” diner personality but I didn’t mind it at all.. Attitude match the decor!

Massive portions. Fast friendly service. This ends the compliments.
The shrimp fried rice was greasy and it was difficult to find the shrimp. The cashew chicken should have rightly been called water chestnuts with some chicken and some cashews.
There hasn't been a nickel spent on maintaining the exterior or the interior of this restaurant in years. Duct tape holding together the seat cushions, large cracks in the wood veneer on the walls.
Had plenty of food left over took none of it home.
