Still dreaming about these tacos. I was in town for a conference and came back to snag lunch two more times before my event was over. Best tacos ever. Below is the al pastor and the lengua. The pollo mole were also delish.
Delicious, fresh tacos, great way to get a good meal on the cheap in DTLA

Compared to the flagship location at Crescent Heights and Sunset, this one is slighty less satisfying in almost every category. Definitely not 3-star less satisfying. I'd give it a solid 4, but every time I've gone in I've had to return the plate because they've messed up my order. They always fix it, but it is still a bit tedious and I hate sending things back like that and the thought of the food being wasted.

A letdown. I expected better. The asada taco meat needed more caramelization. The al pastor had a bit more flavor. The meats should be chopped up more. Comes with one tortilla instead of traditional two, although larger. Ask for the red hot salsa. Catchy name, nice place but food was disappointing.

We were searching for a spot to eat after visiting the callejones “alleys” the tacos here were a perfect way to end our day. don’t come here if you’re on a diet Prepare to buy 5+ tacos. Visited this place about a week ago and these are my impressions:
The good: Great taste, portion is enough and selection is very ample.
The bad: Pricing for a plate is a bit excessive. Bought 4 plates and paid about $80 dollars and that is with no drinks.
The ugly: Location is in a bad neighborhood where the homeless population is present and sometimes it can be dangerous. There is no parking available. Some tables were dirty and staff did not pay attention to it.
Overall, I would recommend this place. In reality, the size of the meal justifies the price and most importantly, the taste. I am sure the dirty table was an honest mistake and feel confident the owner will rectify immediately once he/she sees this review.

Family owned and operated..best tacos in downtown LA???? fresh ingredients and handmade corn tortillas..customer service was amazing. The watermelon drink is so refreshing and a perfect complement to the tacos. I highly recommend you won't be disappointed.

Lengua tacos were the best! Tender and juicy--not chewy. Only minor negative is that they put tomatoes on my tacos although I asked them not to. I will be back though!
