I have always enjoyed their jarred sauces but never knew this place existed. Of course I had to book reservations a week in advance and it didn't disappoint!!! Will come back again until I've tried everything on their menu.
The stuffed mushrooms were delicious. The meatballs were good. The Gnocchi Ragu was tasty and two thumbs up from my dining partner. The veal parmesan was dry, tough, not something I would order again and a bit of a disappointment. The Fusilli Carbonara was ok, but I'll pass next time. The mini cannolis were disappointing. The shell was soft, like it was refrigerated for several days, too many chocolate bites, but the cream was good. Cannolis should be prepped and stuffed daily so the shell stays crisp. Unfortunately they were not. The portion sizes are generous, but will keep hunting for a 5 star Italian meal.

Amazing food and staff! First time visiting Rao’s, My daughter and I went for a Daddy Daughter night out. The whole experience was amazing! From the gentleman who walks table to table checking on everyone, the excellent waiter who never made us feel neglected, to the Outstanding food! We had the meatballs, Chicken Parm with a side of Rigatoni, Fiocchi, and the Caprese Salad. For desert it was the Cheesecake and Tiramisu. Definitely will go going back very soon

Tonight was everything I dreamed a night at Rao’s would be.
I was raised in Chicago and frequent NYC several times a year. I’ve heard of the legendary Rao’s in NYC and am well aware that it’s next to impossible to dine there thus I thought I’d never get the chance to taste their food; arguably the most difficult reservation to obtain in the world!
Yeah I know I know, you can buy the sauce in a jar as well as pasta from the grocery store but it’s not the same.
Upon finding out that Rao’s had expanded out west my wife and I knew this was our best chance to get a taste of the real thing! Then 2020 and 2021 happened. Then the Vegas location closed so I thought I was out of luck. How I missed that a location had opened in Hollywood is beyond me but needless to say I’m glad they did! Tonight a dream became a reality as my wife and I flew in from Tennessee for the privilege to eat from Rao’s table. We ate and ate and ate. It was heaven on earth!
I loved everything we ordered but the highlights for me were the following.:
The meatballs. WOW!
Cheese sandwich! (Fried cheese)
Rigatoni Bolognesi (heaven!)
Penne a la vodka
Chicken Parmesan
Last but not least Rao’s serves the best cheesecake I have ever eaten in my entire life.
The customer service is over the top!
The host “Johnny Roastbeef” , the GM, our waitress Gia along with everyone else are the best of the best!
I’m realistic that my dream of eating at the original location are slim to none but the Hollywood location gave my wife and I and unforgettable culinary experience!
I’ll never forget tonight! Thank you Rao’s!

Decent food, big portions, strong coctails, friendly staff. Meatball was advertised as great but was regular (it is not a complaint whatsoverer), lobster in tomato sause in my opinion is not that great combination - tomatos make too much influence in taste of lobster.
Overall we had a great time there. People there seem to be in great mood and pass it to you with ease.

Awesome experience from start to finish at Rao’s Hollywood. Service was excellent from the minute we walked through the door. We started with the Mozzarella In Carrozza which was perfection. The Caesar salad was phenomenal. For my main course, I ordered the chicken Milanese and it was excellent. My partner enjoyed the Penne Alla Vodka. Kids loved their pasta dishes. I cannot wait to return.

Everything was absolutely amazing!! I expected the pasta Bolognese to be delish. But truly everything we ate was wonderful. We had salad, fettuccine alfredo with mushrooms, fiocchi, tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert. Oh my goodness. It was the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life. And the fiocchi was out of this world!! It was filled with pear and ricotta and other stuff and was just unreal. Also service is super professional and friendly. Love. Will definitely come back!!

Staff was friendly and attentive and very helpful.
Ok so first the ok stuff:
Fettuccine Alfredo
Veal marsala
Bone in Veal parmesan
Rigatoni with marinara.perfectly cooked al dente
Again not bad but ok very edible just didn't get me excited.
My wife and family though loved all of the above dishes
Now the good stuff:
The Caesar salad was one of , if not the best I've ever had . Highly recommended.
The meatballs with gravy ( chunky marinara sauce I'm not sure if there is meat in it) OMG DELICIOUS!!! nice char on the outside and soft and delicious inside....so good ????????.
YOU HAVE TO TRY THESE!
Pork chops with spicy and sweet cherry peppers.
The pork chops were cooked to perfection with nice color on the outside and a wonderful texture inside soft and juicy ...so good ????????.
YOU HAVE TO TRY THESE!
If you like casual fine dining with a nice atmosphere you can't go wrong with Rao's

Walk into the set of The Godfather and u better order yourself the meatballs, Capisce?! Paired with one of their fine bottles of Chianti, order yourself a pasta dish- can’t go wrong with any of them! This place is a hidden gem so choose your company wisely! Bon appetite!

Cheese cake was the best. The meatball appetizer was huge and really tasty. Braised shore ribs was ok, too much rosemary in the polenta. And most importantly the tomato sauce on the pasta was really good.
We did not enjoy the service and the atmosphere as much the table we happen to sit on was right in front of the Cook's line would with no buffer. We did not get to see the food being cooked but got to see all the utilities that goes around with cooking food
