As a Korean, I was finding for some decent place to enjoy food from my home. My experience here was perfect. Galbitang was pretty outstanding and both quality and quantity of the food was great. I really recommend this place for both foreigners who want to enjoy Korean food and also Korean too.
I’ve never had Shabu Shabu like this. First, the restaurant is very clean and bright, not noisy. The decoration is like a formal dining more than a family owned restaurant. Second, the staffs are very helpful to make sure we are doing right on each step for every dishes. The most important is the amazing Shabu Shabu. We order a Shabu Shabu combo with brisket and chicken. The combo includes many chopped vegetables, Udon and rice porridge. The meat and veges are very fresh and testy. I love the dipping sauce which could perfectly match any kind of food for the combo even with the pancakes. This is a great experience to learn the Korean style Shabu Shabu. Definitely would like to visit again.

Highlight of my otherwise miserable LA trip!! The staff does not speak much English, so at first it felt like they are not the most friendly servers. But they are so fast with any request and from their smile (you can tell even when they are wearing masks!) I believe they truly want us to have a good experience. This is the first time I tried Korean style shabu shabu and it is an absolute success. I love the large portion of veggies with herbs in it. Also love the udon and porridge in the end--so flavorful and satisfying!

Don't believe the other reviews, the service here was exceptional. It was our first time eating shabu shabu and the waitress was so sweet and helped us make it in the correct way. Really really tasty, filling, and honestly a good price for LA. Great atmosphere too and a lot of fun

This place was really good. We got the hot pot with pork shoulder and steak, which was delicious. After we finished the hot pot, we ordered one short rib for barbecue, which was also really good. A good authentic experience overall, but it did not have the fun vibe of some of the other Korean barbecue place we have been to. Would recommend for a great dinner, though.

Came for dinner on a Friday night with a friend. Valet is offered in the lot for $3; valet closed around 9:30 PM and they'll find you inside the restaurant to give you your keys back, along with collect the $3 fee. Service was ok, they speak broken English and they speak Korean. The food was good; we had the seafood pancake and 3 course Shabu Shabu with Beef. The seafood pancake was ok; we asked for the pancake to be extra crispy but it came out a little soggy and with a lot of veggies mixed in. For the 3 course meal, the first course is Shabu Shabu, second is Udon with the same broth, and third is porridge with the same broth and one egg. First course was good, second we skipped, and third was ok; porridge didn't have much flavor. Restaurant was relatively clean, as was the restroom. Price was ok too, not too expensive (~$25-$30/person).

Dingy old place. Feels very stuffy in there because of the tight space. Did not feel good there with my kid because the high chair requires blocking traffic where hot grills and dishes pass by. Service is poor because they understaff, yet their prices are pretty expensive. If you want beef options, Dong Il Jang on 8th and Hobart is much better. FYI - Dong Il Jang was featured on Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown and it's really amazing. If you want Shabu, Shabu Hyang on Western and Wilshire, or Shin Jung on 6th and Kenmore is better.
