Super reasonable prices and so delicious. It definitely seems like a local hole in the wall sort of place. Nothing touristy about this place. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Oysters were so fresh and the chapinno was the best! We went late at night and the ambiance was lots of fun. Outside seating only but heaters were wonderful.
The best place to eat and also order delivery for seafood on the westside. Our favorite neighborhood seafood restaurant. Top 3 favorite dishes - The pacific Ceviche, Shrimp Tacos (the best I've ever had) & the 1/2 rack of lamb is SOOOOO good!

Standard American seafood spot that carries a large selection. I didn't get to try a lot of their dishes, but everything seemed fresh and tasty. Based on a friend that frequents, they are known for their tacos and fish & chips.
Their service is exceptional and attentive. It's a casual family dining restaurant. You order at the counter then they bring your food to your table. Only outdoor sittings are available, so don't forget to bring a jacket at night. Parking in the neighborhood streets isn't too bad. Expect to pay $20-30 per person if you order the casual stuff, but it can add up to $50-70 if you get the bigger ticketed items.

Awesome neighborhood find. Great menu selection and some great summer specials. Friendly service a huge bonus. Walk down to Gingers Divine Ice Cream for dessert for the win!

Overpriced! $35 for a dozen oysters $30 for fish and chips.
The oysters weren't any different from restaurants where a dozen oysters are $20 at most.
The fish and chips, 3-4 chunks of cod with a basket full of steak fries.
The staff at least on the day I went were unattentive and seemed ready to go home.

This is a great new spot in Mar Vista. The Tuna Poke bowl was so good. Really fresh and wasn’t overcrowded or covered in Mayo or sauce. The fish and chips were good too. Not too much breading on the fish which is always better. Excited to go back for their Wednesday Window Special.

Tangaroa has excellent service and the food is delicious.
The only downside is the prices are very high…even for the area. Would go back again for a happy hour I think.

The owner and head chef are really cool and the food is authentic as you can here in the states. We had the fish and chips, potatoe fritters, and shrimp fried tacos. Everything was fresh crispy and delicious. They said the fish is even from New Zealand.

I can't believe I just discovered this place when I have lived here almost 5 years. It is a quaint fish market with flavorful dishes. The fish tastes very fresh and is cooked to perfection. We are hard to please regarding ceviche and theirs was unique and delicious with large portions of fish. We can't wait to explore the menu more and sit at the bar once in door consumptions is safe again. Support this small business! You won't be disappointed.
