Came here with a group of 22, which they were able to accommodate after some prep, but in 3 different areas. Great authentic chips and salsa, with a tasty but mild spice salsa.
House margarita is good, but quite sweet, and very large. A very good value.
The Chicken Chimi was very good, especially the enchilada sauce, yum..
Where the restaurant lost the point is when about half the party had finished their food, the busser came and cleared plates, glasses, chips and salsa, and then lurked...waiting to rush more food away. One of our party didn't get to finish the $13 margarita because we felt pressure to clear the table. Very awkward for sure.
So, if you want a relaxed meal, skip here on a weekend night. Maybe midweek is better. Not sure if I would come back because of the end user service, but the food was legit.
We really enjoyed our meal!
The quantity of food was large ????
Inside and outside of the restaurant was really aesthetic and beautiful!
Benjamin (I think that was our waiters' name) was a kind gentleman :)
We will definitely come back here!

Please skip this place if you’re looking for good food. The only plus about this place is the staff, mariachi band and ambience
Store bought salsa is better than salsa here and their guacamole had olives in it like what!?? Their tortilla chips were stale and thick. Sangria was store bought sangria with ice not made there and tables were worn down and broken.

The long lines to get in even on weekdays are well deserved. Approaching and experiencing Casa Guadalajara, you will be transported to a Mexican culinary adventure. There is so much ambience and culture here - eye candy at every turn. There was a mariachi band playing while we were here.
The fajita, seafood, and margaritas we had were exceedingly delicious and flavorful.

We went one evening for cocktails and dessert. The house Margarita was way to sweet, I had to add water and an extra squeeze of lime. The churro with milk chocolate and ice cream, I would definitely go back for. The next day, we ended to go for breakfast, I ordered two mole chicken enchiladas and scramble eggs. The mole needed a little more chocolate but was good. During both visits, servers were the very best, they were attentive and ensured we were well taken care of. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with Mexican artifacts, well curated and was the best part of the experience.

Food was definitely good, 8/10. My favorite were the homemade tortillas and tortilla chips that are homemade right at the front of the restaurant! Great atmosphere with a mariachi band on the weekends which was super fun. The fajitas were definitely a winner.

This is definitely a tourist location in the heart of old town. The food was okay, but I got two tiny tacos for the cost of $17 AND they gave me the wrong tacos. The greeter was awful. Her name is Jane and she had horrible customer service. I understood the messages she was trying to convey but she did it with an attitude instead of being a greeter that makes a positive first impression.
Our server Fidel was great! He was super sweet and helpful. But just starting off with that whole negative experience from their greeter, I feel like they need to move her to a different spot. Anyway it's three stars because even though I was upset with the greeter, our server made it a better experience.

This restaurant was amazing. What a great find!
I came across this restaurant while visiting Old Town, San Diego for the first time. The restaurant had an amazing atmosphere and the ambience was great. It had a lot of Mexican influenced decor.
I came in on a Sunday night during the Christmas weekend, and even with all the crowd I didn't have to wait long. The server and staff were very friendly, polite and quick.
Immediately after seating, I was greeted with tortilla chips and salsa(which btw was one of the best salsas I ever had). I also ordered a veggie enchiladas as my entree along with a virgin Pina Colada. The food was very tasty and fresh.
The restaurant was clean, and nice decor and vibe. It is located just at the start of Old Town and had plenty of parking space as well, even on a super busy night.
All in all, this was a great experience and will 10/10 visit again the next time I'll be in San Diego.

This is one of the tastiest Mexican food I had. Service is fast and the outdoor space is wonderful. Best part is dogs are allowed on the patio. I also liked the cocktails. Prices are reasonable. Great place for a relaxed dining experience.
