I'll start with the cocktails...I could have blown through the cocktail list in one sitting, as the ones I tried were great. I would have loved to try them all. For dinner, the group ordered a bunch of appetizers including the carrots, lobster mac n cheese and the Shishito peppers. All were great, but the lobster mac n cheese was my favorite. After a long day, the comfort food hit the spot. I had the swordfish for my entree and it was "good." I couldn't give it a great or excellent because it was sort of bland. It just was not seasoned enough for my liking. The staff was great. Our server came by at all the right times to check in with us. Didn't hover and we didn't have to go looking for her.
We were staying at The Solamar and decided to pop in here for breakfast on Saturday morning. We were immediately seated and ordered coffee along with our two entrees. We were not in a hurry (since we were on vacation), but after being there for some time, the waitress came up and apologized for the fact that our food was taking awhile. She had mentioned that the kitchen had lost the ticket but she was going to put in the order and they'd fast track it. Because she was so attentive with our coffee refills, we barely had even noticed we'd been waiting; but we were really impressed with her communication to even tell us what had happened. When our food did arrive (Again, not even very late!), it was DELICIOUS. My husband ordered the classic breakfast (eggs, bacon, toast, etc.) and I ordered the Chilaquilles. When we went to ask for our bill, Abigail, the sweetest and kindest waitress, told us our meal was comp'd and she was so sorry for the wait. We were SO impressed with how attentive she was, how kind and how well she communicated about what was going on with our food. We left a significant tip because she was just seriously the best - I asked her name before leaving because I knew we had to give a great review. Give Abigail a raise!

My meal the Bayou skillet was excellent. The sausage was full of flavor eggs were perfect. Crab Benedict was also tasty and wonderful. Service was a little slow. That seems to be the norm. Delightful meal

Great small restaurant next to the Solamar San Diego hotel. Compact offering for breakfast with a warming atmosphere and a first-class service. Their sour dough toast is especially great!

Jsix is located in the heart of Gaslamp District. The place is cool and spacy, the staff very nice. The menu is limited, a few starter, main dishes and desserts. The food was OK, but not extra-ordinary. At that price you'll expect a little bit more. The accoustics are challenging, difficult to make conversations in here.

Ate at the bar. My cheeseburger was cooked to perfection (medium rare). The IPA I had on tap was refreshing.

Good selection of beer. Good food. I had their sliders. They were delicious.
Bartender was friendly and made sure my order was to my liking. Will be coming here again. They had a few large screens where I was able to watch the rockets-warriors game this evening.

Jsix is consistently good and one of my favorite breakfast/brunch choices in San Diego! From ambiance to menu to service, you can't go wrong at Jsix. Their Green Chilaquiles are good, but their Red Sauce Chilaquiles are my absolute favorite! Hope they bring that specialty back soon!

Definitely get the mussels and buccatini. They offer some dishes in half portion. Drinks are good too but kinda pricey.

Rooftop with pool, deck chairs, fireplaces for cool evenings. Good happy hour and have little play different games including pockets. The music was good when we went. ;-)
