This is absolutely the best taco stand I have ever been to. And I know that is a big claim in SoCal.
But seriously, this place blew our minds with their food and salsa. Their chile relleno was so incredibly good. The fish tacos are so crispy, their crema was bright and refreshing, and some of the best fish tacos I've ever had.
I can't say enough good things about their homemade salsas either. They have a red and green and both were flavorful and had great heat, not too much but enough to enjoy.
This place is such a hole in a wall! They indeed offer fresh, promising, and yummy tacos! Service seems reasonably friendly for a place like this.
The price appears to be a bit high for the spot but pretty delicious food.
Nothing fancy, very casual similar to fast food. Order at the counter, find a table, and pretty much self-service.

Great food, friendly service, reasonable prices for Pacific Beach. I usually get the carne asada tacos which are great but this time decided to try the enchiladas. Got one shredded chicken and one cheese enchilada, both were excellent. The beans and rice are always on point as well.

This place is always great! The food is on point, the carne asada is perfectly seasoned, the burritos are never small... the only reason I hold back one star is I always ask ahead for the amounts of salsa I would like and they only give maybe 1 or 2 of each. I buy for a family of 4 who is salsa-crazy. When I say we need 5 of each, it mean 5 of each. But no joke, this is the best taco shop food in PB. And they have the best location (close to the beach) too.

Seeing the high reviews, I was expecting great Mexican food from this place so ordered the carne asada (loaded fries) and enchiladas. The food looked good, although its taste was extremely mediocre and I couldn't even get through the enchiladas. The loaded fries had big chunk of meat in it that was hard to chew. The staff were courteous but the food made it a very disappointing experience.

Food is very overpriced and very mediocre quality. It’s either super salty or overcooked or cold. Their operations are terribly inefficient. You might be the next person in line and still end up waiting 10+ minutes before they even take your order. Calling in orders doesn’t always do much to save time which makes it pointless to call in ahead of time. Food ends up getting cold from waiting to pay for the food you called in unless you’re the only person in line when you arrive.
They lose a ton of business from customers walking out on waiting for the cashier to take their order or ring up call ins.
The staff is nice and polite though.

One of the most authentic taco restaurants in the area. The prices are very affordable, service was fantastic. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and helped us order.
I highly recommend the fish taco. It was well battered and the fish to taco ratio always left you with some extra fish so that you can truly taste its freshness. It was one of the best I've had and they are generous with their serving portions.

Excellent bigger sized tacos. Full of perfectly cooked and seasoned carne asada. Rice and beans were good. Guacamole was a good size but somewhat plain.

Found this place on Yelp as the top taco spot in the Pacific Beach area. Service was phenomenal and food was superb! We came for tacos but couldn't resist the Cali burrito made with fries, guacamole, Pico and cheese and Carne asada or in my case shrimp.

May be an acquired taste. Fish taco had rice and tartar sauce (not for me), carnitas torta was generous and had beans (New to me also) but was good. Rolled tacos were my favorite with cream and cotija cheese. Prefer Tacos del Trumpo style down the street.
