I have been driving past this place for years and finally walked in after several recommendations. The owner genuinely treats you like family! He was even giving out free drinks during the heatwave… So thoughtful of him. I ordered the surf and turf burrito and it was fantastic. As a San Diego local that grew up in San Ysidro, this food is NO JOKE!

Simply Delicious.
We had Grilled Chicken Fajitas and fish n shrimp burrito, both of them are really delicious. The staff are so friendly and you should try it out if you are looking for a delicious Mexican food.

Coming from a Texas girl that loves Tex Mex and authentic Mexican food....thus Cali-Mex was delicious ???? I got fish tacos and my boyfriend enchiladas. All were great. Variety of salsas were delicious as well! And then the desert of fried flour tortillas with whip cream, Carmel, cinnamon and sugar were awesome to top it off!! Definitely recommend!

In a recent visit to San Diego we stumbled upon Mi Ranchito Restaurant near Poway. The food was truly the best Mexican fare I have experienced anywhere. Upon the recommendation of the owner's son, I went with the Seafood Burrito. This outstanding burrito overstuffed with seafood could easily feed 2 people. We enjoyed our dinner so much that we stopped back a couple days later to try something else on the menu. The fish tacos were equally as good. The owner is a delightful lady and we met her two sons who also work very hard to make this a wonderful dining experience. I can't praise Mi Ranchito enough. Try it, you will love it!!

Possibly the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. The pineapple and papaya marinade on the fish blends so well with the fresh cabbage slaw and chipotle sauce. All of their fish is fresh and the prices don’t reflect that at all. The amount of food you get is fantastic for the price. The house made spicy pickled carrots were delectable, the four salsas were spicy and fresh to go with their fresh corn tortilla chips. Gluten-free friendly options by means of corn tortillas in lieu of flour tortillas make this stop a must go. They also have a ton of healthy options! For dessert, French vanilla cream stuffed fresh churros that my husband absolutely loved! The owners are such sweet and friendly people too! We can’t wait to come back in January on our next visit. Thank you again!

Can’t say enough about this gem of a find!!! We were visiting San Diego from Connecticut and were told we had to get fish tacos while we were here. We searched Google and saw that Mi Rachito had great reviews and decided to give it a try. We’ve been traveling all over California for the last 12 days and this was by far the best meal we’ve had!! The fish was so fresh and delicious. The owner was amazing and took the time to go through their huge menu for us. We decided to get 5 different meals to share based on her recommendations and they did not disappoint! The salmon and red snapper were beyond fantastic. I wish we could visit weekly. Thank you so much for your hospitality and delicious meal!! If I could give you more than 5 stars I would!!!

The Owner who is also a Chef is awesome and super friendly. Best food I have had in California. Highly recommend the Lobster Burrito, Surf and Turf (Steak and Carne Asada ), the Seafood Burrito or the fish taco . All were so fresh and tasted amazing. Had no choice but to order again after eating so I could have leftover for later.

Update: still the best
Best mariscos taco shop north of point loma. Covid changed things for dine in but its still great to go. This isnt my favorite taco shop in our nighborhood but if u like seafood tacos/burritos and high end ingredients this is the best you will do north of point loma. Dare you to Try. 20+ year neighborhood resident.
This time I tried the lobster taco, scallop taco, fish taco and bean toadtada. Lobster is better as a burrito. I'm glad I tried the scallops. Service was pleasant

I had a crazy craving for nachos, and have a hard time finding nachos I like because I can be *particular. Google suggested this place because it was close by only a 15 min drive. The service was phenomenal, from the young guy that explained the menu and took our order to the nice lady that came and checked on us after we got our food. They make you feel like they really care. The food was also amazing! The nachos were loaded up, I ended up having more topping than chips to eat it with. And the price was great, for the two of us plus drink and dessert, it was $25 which is a steal for the portions and quality. I will definitely be back!

Update: Visited again, and it was just as good as 2 months ago! Had the seafood burrito again, phenomenal!
Original: Best meal of our week in the San Diego area. Had the renowned seafood burrito and it did not disappoint. Everything In it was fresh, from the lobster to the scallops and even the special wrap was delicious. Also had the fish tacos (the owner noted he had just gotten his delivery of red snapper). They were fresh too! Even the chips and salsa are homemade—-the salsa having a particularly savory taste to it reminiscent of Roman fish sauce. Highly recommend! Oh and forgot my wife’s favorite—the churros stuffed w/Bavarian creme.
