I ate here with a friend of mine,who is an illustration artist,his sister wrote the story.Title"The Midnight Dream World of Cats".The illustrator has Autism and Down Syndrome,his sister wrote the story.The kindness and patience of the Staff made both of us feel comfortable on our lunch break.I would not have been able to find this place after ten years but a an amazing friend named Tavis M Nihues who works for Mortgage Capital Trading helped me find the book online so I remembered this place. If you're looking for some of the best Mexican food in San Diego California this is the place!.The service and the food are wonderful,it's the place where friends make memories together.

Good food, good service!
Was served chips and salsa. The salsa had a little bit of heat in it! My lips were tingling from it. Lol. It was great!
Ordered the beef burrito with sides of hefty portions of rice and beans! Had enough leftovers for another meal. That's what I'm talking about!
I cannot say enough about the service. My server frequently came by to check on me to see if everything was ok. I really like that about a server. Gave the server a good tip.

I am a local so I eat here often. Matthew is always consistent with his service with the fun up beat attitude. Thumbs up to the kitchen staff they never disappoint. Margaritas are the bomb. Make sure you ask about the upgrade to the large.

Had the chips, salsa, spicy carrots and huevos rancheros for lunch with two friends. Visiting from the east coast and had to have Mexican food. Ponce's is the best!

Menu is much smaller now and bump on prices. The place has descent food, good service and worth a visit. It is not my favorite Mexican place but many do like. I loved rice, beans fine and my beef rolled tacos good. Nothing blew me away but all good.

A real cozy place for lunch. First time here and really enjoyed a delicious carne asada burrito. Really good sized with guacamole and salsa fresca inside. The house margarita along with chips and their home made salsa. Very comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff. Just go! ALSO, they are a SURFRIDER Foundation Ocean Friendly Restaurant!!! Went back today with a friend for lunch and had another amazing meal!

Ponce's is a very nice Mexican restaurant where me and my friends enjoy eating. I had the 2 cheese enchiladas and bean tostada combo last time we ate there. Muy delicioso!

Always great place, one of my favorites! We brought a friend from out of town this time and she loved it too We all got tacos and we were able to eat outside in the patio with our dog and the waiter was super kind giving our dog some treats.

Portions were great for the value. Waitresses were very friendly and staff was very quick and efficient on getting orders out, despite being busy. Flavors were great, their salsas taste were spot on. A little more citrus and it would all be perfect. I'd definitely come back for more.
