Beautiful venue. Just beautiful!! Sit outside so you can just see the beach! Although i had to go back inside due to rain. Food was okay but not as great considering this is quite upscale place. It was not like omg so good but it tastes quite interesting i should say. Great place for date night and etc.

My new must go happy hour in San Diego! Fresh and yummy oysters for $1.50 each! The cheese board, calamari are super, sirloin tip and clam chowder are good also. We liked it so much that we went there both days we were in San Diego. Service was good and the view was gorgeous. We even get to sit outside for the happy hour ????.

Very lovely experience. We started with the Oyster dozen chefs pick on our lunch.
Then moved on to the Smoked Salmon sandwich and the Fish and Chips.
Food was great, view fantastic, and the service amazing. Juan did a great job knowing the menu.
We are now picking up dinner to go.

Amazing food and very elegant setup. Great place for a date or a fancy meal with friends and family. I payed $50 plus tip in total for everything I ordered. The portions were large so you definitely get your moneys worth ????

Dining at Tom Ham's is not having a meal, it's an experience. We took it for our adjacent stay but it would have been a huge miss if we didn't go there.

I had the best roasted beet salad in my life. The fish was over the top. Wanted.to meet the chef so went back next day but the staff seemed to be less cooperative the next day. Anyway, focusing on the bright side. The arrangement is breath taking. The view of the sea, the downtown and point loma is not enough as if when some jet skiing guy shows off his skill. I thought for a moment the restaurant owner hired him for entertainment ????

Price is very reasonable according to the experience. Will be back when we are in the city.

We came to this spot later in the evening for some dinner, and the experience was very satisfactory. The oysters were very fresh, bouillabaisse was great, paella was delicious, and linguini is pretty good too. The waiters were very attentive and welcoming. The interior is nice and they have pretty custom-made napkins. It was a good visit.

First of all EXCELLENT service and the views are amazing!!
Very loud inside. (Bar area very loud.)
Wrinkled paper menus. For fine dining, I'd like a clean laminated one please! (Highlighting favorites)
Steaks (excellent flavor) should automatically come with sides, not charged extra. Hot butter for cold lobster would improve the dish. Add a coleslaw or something for that price.
Salmon was excellent! Rice and veggies were dried out/overcooked. Oysters were delicious and fresh!!

We were one of the first tables sat on a weekday. For a $300 meal for 3, I had to leave my suggestions here.
Beautiful restaurant. Would like to try again. We were traveling from Washington state. Home of amazing salmon and oysters!

This was recommended by a local and it was great! It is expensive but it was our night to splurge and we picked a great place to do it. Sat outside over the water with a heater very close to us. Our waiter was Raymond and he was wonderful. It was a moderate walk there from the Sheraton San Diego Marina but we didn't mind and we enjoyed a beautiful sunset walking home. The restaurant is insides lighthouse.

My husband and I had our wedding reception here. Gifted by my grandma’s best friend. The view is spectacular and we always get treated very well. Since our wedding, my grandma has passed away. So we meet Margot(grandma’s bff) at Tom Ham’s every month or so for lunch. She is well known there, so my husband and I always get the best treatment. Easy to find San Diego landmark restaurant. Dress up, or casual. They have brunch on Sundays. With a variety of different food. They don’t have vegan options listed but if you’re creative, you’ll get by. They have good salads, French fries, fruit with sorbet for dessert if you’re a vegan, and in a bind. Margot and my husband always get the fried calamari and clam chowder soup. Great drinks. The bar tender always makes me something fancy, even though it’s a virgin drink. Margot always has a blast there. Bring a camera for some awesome photos inside and outside the restaurant. It sits right on the San Diego Bay overlooking the water. The sailboats go by on warm sunny days. There’s also historical favorites downstairs. Plenty of parking with handicap spaces in front.

Great view, friendly service, and good food at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse Restaurant. I made a reservation for Valentines Day and we were given a table with a great view of San Diego.

The moment we arrived, the staff greeted us and checked us in. We were ushered to our table in no time. The staff who took our order made sure the appetizers and my kids’ meals arrived promptly. This made our dining experience pretty amazing.

Kudos to the chef, staff, and everyone in the kitchen. Normally on a busy day like Valentines, you would expect slower service since there are a lot of diners. We were blown away by the service we got. My family will definitely be back!
