This is the first location of Barney's Beanery and I love to come here!
Barney's is a great place in the daytime for families and a fun hangout after hours for friends and coworkers.
It has a huge menu but anytime I go in I have to have their wings. I love to get sweet and spicy and the Diablo (super hot).
This Barney's has karaoke night, game nights, and trivia nights on different days of the week. It also has a few arcade games and a few pool tables that only cost a couple dollars to play.
One of the fun things about Barney's is the decor. There are so many posters, stickers, music and movie related postings on the walls and even ceiling.
I've only known this place to go after hours and enjoy drinks and games with friends but I would still recommend this place for families during the day for a fun dinner feel with neat aesthetics.
Service is middle ground. I mean that, from what I've seen the servers are more stern and matter of fact. BUT, I know dealing with bar people and anyone drinking is difficult and you do have to take that with a grain of salt.
Barney's is a mix of things that I think all sorts of different people can enjoy!
My regular place when I’m town. Has a dive bar vibe to it. Great food and a good selection of beer, such an amazing vibe.

Wow... Best tomato soup I have had in my life!
As a huge tomato soup and toasted cheese sandwich lover, I was in heaven...
The flavour of the food was just epic!
My daughter had a burger which she said was divine!
Also, so much history in this place! If you're a music fan I highly recommend going inside and asking about the license plates and history of the bar.
Really recommend stopping in here, great vibe, good food and just a really interesting place! I went with the kids (teens) and we had a good time, say outside to eat.
Dive bar vibes but we all know how great a dive bar is! Check it out if you get the chance.

This place was so much fun. Brought out our crowd and we sang, danced, and almost did the karaoke ????. If you want to have a memorable night, this is the place. The Nachos were the best and sharable. Prices are reasonable and the environment makes me want to go back.

Gonna start off with the cons: burger was weirdly sweet. So we’re the fries. Still satisfying tho.
The pros: easy to get a table, a lot of variety, etc. but the real star? Johnny. I came in about to pass out, and he took incredible care of us. Quick, kind, and fun, I literally don’t know what we would’ve done without him. Johnny, you saved us. Thank you. You need a raise.

Super fun spot to hangout. Service is not the best especially at night since it’s BUSY. pool, arcade, karaoke, trivia all make up for it. Food is good depending on what you get! it’s definitely worth a fun night in West Hollywood

Service and staff always nice and polite!
love shooting pool so the pool tables are great two dollars a game.
Sports on all the screens and they have an array extensive beer menu of beers around the World!

Nine of us had a great time, great service, good good. Very busy on a Sunday, but the food came out super fast. Drinks where aplenty, as it liquor/beer tab doubled our food. Pic is off Buffalo wings, fries, Cali burger, buffalo chicken sandwich, mozz sticks and chicken nachos. Will go back next time in LA.

A staple of the LA scene, Barney's has been around for quite a long time. The menu at one point in time was rather extensive, and printed like a newspaper. At this point in time, the menu has been paired way down. One would think this might afford the opportunity for exploring the recipes and improving them, but that doesn't seem to be happening. Take the Eggs Benedict. The Hollandaise is very thick, and although the flavour was okay, do we need another glop of seemingly canned sauce. The poached eggs had a rather strong taste of vinegar that overpowered most of the other flavors in the dish. I assume it was the water used for poaching that gave off the highly acidic tang.
In contrast the chiliquilles, were very red. I always think of this dish as a good way to show some different textural play. The softness of the eggs paired with the crunch of the chips. In this version, the chips seem to be cooked in a ranchero sauce, rendering them soft and mushy. The eggs seem cooked seperately and then mixed in as almost an after thought. I won't comment on the beans and rice as they looked so unappealing that I didn't taste them.
The coffee is strong, and reminds me of old diner coffee. I'm not sure what I mean here. Is it coffee that I remember from diners of of a bygone era that put hair on your chest? Is it coffee that has been sitting on the burner at a diner for 8 hours? Why, yes. Yes it is.
On a positive note, the decor is kitschy and will keep you occupied, as you try to get your servers attention to ask for anything.
