Best Cochinita Pibil I’ve tried around the Chicago area. Tried this place after few colleagues recommended their 3 milk’s cake. Which it was not disappointing at all. The sope with the cochinita pibil was my favorite. Perfect amount of meat, beans, picked onions and cheese. The shrimp empanadas were also good, you basically get two empanadas cut into half’s. It is in the pricey side, I don’t mind paying if the food quality is right. Only downfall was customer service could be attentive. I did order ahead of time because of the amount of reviews that stated they have very slow service. I ordered through their website. Which was convenient.
The pineapple margarita was great.
My favorite dishes was the green ceviche and the camarones gratinados so delicious, flavorful and presented beautifully.
The shrimp pozole was missing flavor.
But the staff is incredibly helpful and kind

Friendly and knowledgeable service, absolutely delicious food (omg I cannot even explain how yummy this food was. And sat so well in the stomach, too), unique dishes, tasty and fun tequila drinks, and to top it all off: great mole! And a fun Plantain appetizer ????
What's not to love?
Highly recommended.
P.S. Mexican Coca-Cola available ????????

Omg!!! I wish I had come here more often over the years! The food is AMAZING! Loved the goat taco on handmade corn tortilla, the cochinita pibil sope, the delish Al pastor taco & the seafood ceviche. Everything was so flavorful & well seasoned. Friendly service, clean spot & very authentic tasting food! High quality, fresh ingredients & well executed. I would come back for the handmade ritual as alone. Some of the best Mexican food I’ve had in Chicago!

Not sure if this is supposed to be a bar or a restaurant. Stop by to have dinner with family and it was busy. Which is very good for them because it's good to see small businesses thrive. The place was really loud and it was not easy to have a table conversation without leaning forward and raising your voice. The majority of the tables there were just drinking alcohol which explains why it was very loud. People were happy. We ordered a total of 5 tacos, enchilada plate and another small vegan plate for my party. It took about an hour to get our food and they didn't even get it right. I'm not here to exaggerate but the experience and service was bad. If you're looking for a place to drink and maybe have some food as long as you don't mind waiting then this would be an option. Also, the tacos here are the size of Comales tacos. They just look pretty and cost more. Very disappointed.

This is a must go to Pilsen restaurant they have real good "sopes"/(so^pay's) that's a corn dough thicker then a tortilla with your choice of protein comes with onions cilantro base has beans, ask for it how you would want it they will accommodate you. We also had the guacamole was well seasoned and very tasty. The torta (tore_/tah) was good meat to bread ratio was fair I did feel it was a bit overly priced at 12 dollars, I want the torta to stand out but I didnt get that felt like an 8 to 9 dollar torta. I won't knock the score for the price the torta it was very good. We also tried a taco with "carnitas" fried pork very tasty pork. Overall, The waitresses where really nice and very accommodating as well as the waitors. 5/5 based on flavors 5/5 ambiance 5/5 service spent about 41 dollars for 2 sopes, 1 taco, and a torta with a coffee. Tip not included but TIP YOUR SERVERS they deserve it 100%

I had a bite to eat here on a recent food tour of Chicago hosted by Judith Dunbar-Hines. Great food and friendly service. The flavors were so fresh. I would love to go back and sample other menu items. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend this spot.

Great food: flavorful and well presented. Outdoor seating was great, indoors looked a bit overcrowded. Service was a tad slow but our server was very nice. Overall a great place. Came hungry, wasnt disappointed.

Delicious tacos, strong margaritas. The place was packed when we got there. Service was great. I do think sometimes it can be too crowded inside. Hope the outdoor seating will be set up soon!
