Excellent Mexican food!
First time we have eaten here, and we were really happy with it. We ordered the carnitas plate and the queso dip.
The carnitas plate was really good, the portion sizes were excellent and comfortably served 2 people. The only thing we needed more of was the corn tortillas which were homemade in house and were fantastic. The pork itself was really tender and good. I see some other reviews have complained that it has no flavour, I don’t agree with this. Yes it could maybe have used a bit of salt, but when your putting it on a taco with other ingredients you want to be able to taste the flavour of the meat, and we certainly did, it was cooked perfectly.
The queso dip was one of the best we ever had, wish the serving size was a tad larger however very happy with it.
The tortilla chips and salsa that you get for the table is excellent, the salsa you could taste how fresh it was, a bit of a spicy kick too which was great, easily one of the best we’ve had.
All in all this was a great place, portion sizes were good, staff was friendly, service was fast and prices were reasonable. We will definitely come back next time we are in Chicago.
Lourdes was a great waitress and made us feel
welcome. Thanks to her attentive service we enjoyed a great team outing. The manager Felix on the other hand was very rude. One of our attendees dropped his margarita and the glass splatter on the floor thankfully nothing happened but as we asked for the manager Felix to either give us credit for the margarita or remove it from the bill he continued to give us a very bad attitude and speech. He said you are the ones who broke the glass so I don’t have to do anything. As I proceeded to say you are lucky he didn’t cut himself he then continue with his bad attitude. he ended up sending a margarita to our table but he didn’t have to make us change a great experience with Lourdes and the restaurant to a uncomfortable one and not a very good experience. Management should be train on proving a better service specially in downtown Chicago. By the way our bill was $422.00 dollars so is not like we wanted a free bill. If Felix treats customers like that I can’t imagine how he treats the employees. Entitlement is not welcome now a days and people with a lock of kindness should not be in the service industry they can work on a different industry where they don’t have to deal with customer or people In general. My biggest disappointment was how he didn’t show any concern on the broken glass or what could off have happened at his establishment. Thank you

Nice Mexican restaurant with police staff. The salsa that came with the chips was a bit spicy for me, but my wife enjoyed it. The queso dip was very good and we shared a entree of enchiladas - one beef, one cheese, and one chicken. They were very good, although a bit small. There was a fun and colorful decor that we both enjoyed. Biggest drawback was that our table was dirty when we were sat there, and we had to ask to get it wiped down. And my wife’s water glass was cracked in two places. Overall we had a good experience here though.

The service is great and the staff are both friendly and efficient, but the food leaves a lot to be desired. We tried the chicken fajitas, as well as the chicken and steak enchiladas. The spice level is bland to the point of being non-existent. The salsa too, was a bit watery, again with zero spice level. Adding the picante hot sauce doesn't help. If they could improve this aspect, I think this would be a winner with its great location.

As a flight attendant I visit many countries, cities and restaurants. The enchiladas here are amazing, and while they don't do frozen margaritas, they do a nice rocks one. Queso and chips aren't Texas quality, but yummy none the less! Outdoor dining was comfy. Lulu was my amazing server...

I have ordered their vegetarian enchiladas and lemonade and they were delightful. That was served with rice and refried beans (I have tasted better rice and beans). They also gave complimentary salsa and chips. Overall it is a good place to try if you are in that area as it you a vibe of siting in Mexico.

We were excited to visit this authentic Mexican restaurant here in Chicago, and we were not disappointed. This was perfect!
Our waiter, Carla, was helpful and very friendly. She guided us through the menu and she was very welcoming.
We ordered Carnitas, bacas and chimicurri tacos and had a blast with Mexican beer and tequila.
I will highly recommend a visit to this gem of a Mexican restaurant.

Totally not worth the price! There are way better restaurants around with really great food and ambience. I did not like the taste of the food. The chicken in my taco order seemed uncooked and lacked any kind of seasoning. The fish taco also wasn’t great at all. Food had some kind of smell which was not appetizing at all. The drink I ordered mexican mule did not seem like a cocktail - it was more like tequila poured in ice. Overall a bad pick.

You will never find friendlier service. The guacamole is made fresh on the spot, the salsa is amazing and the servers and bartenders are the best! A hidden gem within Chicago's city limits. The tortilla chips are hot and fresh. The prices were pretty good, compared to other venues in the area. We loved the pitcher of mango blush for 20 dollars. We really enjoyed the atmosphere in this establishment.

Visiting from Belgium. Haven’t been here since June 2019 but it was nice to be back. Family owned and they’re very accommodating and friendly. Glad to see the place was still open.
Has indoor and outdoor seating.
Has a great selection of tequila so of course I get margaritas.
I find the food to be typical Mexican food. Tasty and authentic. I lived in Vegas for 10 years and love a good Mexican food dining experience.
Will definitely come back.
