Not joking when I say the vegan burrito here is literally the best burrito I've had in my life. I still think about it to this day, and every time I'm in Chicago I stop here for a burrito. Also very fun atmosphere with great service! I would give 6/5 stars if I could!
I don't normally take pictures of my food, but this burrito al pastor sent goosebumps down my spine. An exquisite balance of spices, cilantro, cheese, melt in your mouth pork, and other magic, made it a meal I will not forget.

This experience was so close to a 5 star experience! The food was beautiful presented and delicious. You can tell the chef is passionate about her work. The decor was lovely and bright yet sexy and modern. My only complaint was I felt like my server had a language barrier which may have hindered her ability to be personable and pleasant. Service for me is pretty important and being able to ask the server about certain dishes and etc is important. There was 2 other people I spoke to who also seemed to not be able to communicate or not want to speak at all. I love this place-it's very nice and has great food. Just wish the service was a bit better.

We ate at Tacos Loteria as a birthday treat, and wow! what a treat it was. The Margaritas were excellent, the service was attentive and friendly, the entrees were delicious, but the best part was the dessert. It was just divine. It was an evening to remember.

Located on the outskirts of the Logan Square gentrified bubble, Tacos Loteria is a hidden gem worth the extra two-ish blocks walk down from the ever popular Giant. A beautiful cocktail list, expansive authentic menu, and a lovely staff makes this restaurant a soon-to-be sought after reservation. Put down your phone and experience this place before everyone else finds out about it. You will not be disappointed.

best cocktail I’ve had in Chicago maybe ever! All the flavors are so elevated from the appetizers to the tacos to the flan. Our server MarÃa was super amazing as well :) I am recommending it to absolutely everybody!

The food was delicious and the drinks were on point.

I really enjoyed the food and the drinks here. I had the Mezcal 28 Magarita and it was great. We had an El Kentucjy Cruz at the table too, it came in an adorable Terra Cota cup.
I had a burrito asada for my main course. It is really hard to find a restaurant in Chicago that serves up good margaritas and proper burritos. The struggle is real. Tacos Loteria passes with flying covers on this test!

Tacos are on point at this soon to be little neighborhood gem. This spot definitely has the making of a neighborhood go-to. The inside decor has an openness to it. You can see the inspiration behind some of the events to come. Little inside scoop, Drag Brunch with bottomless mimosas will be coming once the Weather turns Sunny so let the anticipation begin. That's all I can spill right now????
The Empanadas were perfectly cooked. Delicious stuffing and cute presentation. Order some guacamole made from scratch to start your dining experience and do eat it with the Salsa. The Salsa is definitely palatable and on the mild side of the heat spectrum. Round off with homemade Horchata and you are in a delicious state of body. If you're wanting Tacos there are plenty of options to explore that'll surely hit the spot for your taste buds.
The staff is attentive and friendly. Francisco, our sever gave good service. Both Miguel (the owner and head manager) and Cristian (cute assistant manager) both made sure all tables and guests were being taken care of by how they greeted their guests, accommodated their party size, and making wonderful recommendations. Furthermore, a Mixologist is currently behind the Bar for all the Craft Cocktail enthusiasts that need to quench their thirst.
Bien provecho.

As a longtime patron of Tacos Garcia, I was delighted when I learned that family member Miguel Becerril was re-inventing the restaurant as Tacos LoterÃa. As all members of our party of six will attest after last night's meal, Miguel and his team have hit the ball out of the park!
It took me awhile to orient myself to the new space. Tastefully decorated with colorful paint, ceramic tile, and new furniture, it's nothing like the old Tacos Garcia. One of the most obvious additions is an attractive bar from which we sampled some creative and tasty cocktails.
The service is excellent: attentive, prompt, and polite. The staff is very conscious of health protocols--everyone's masked, temperatures are taken at the door, and the place is clean as a whistle. It was also wonderful to see some of the employees from Tacos Garcia, including servers Carmen and Olivia.
How about the food? Three of our group ordered La Steak, a perfectly-grilled habanero marinated skirt steak accompanied by green rice, black beans, and guacamole. The rest of us worked our way through the "Los Tacos" section of the menu, sampling pork, beef, tongue, shrimp, chorizo, and veggie tacos. All were delicious although this is where I'll make a suggestion. The tacos at Tacos Garcia were incredible, in part because of the generous servings--one needed a fork to scoop up the substantial amount of filling that fell out of the tortillas. Last night's tacos were a bit on the stingy side, no fork needed.
Desserts--we tried the coconut flan and chocolate cake. Both were sublime!
Hooray for Tacos LoterÃa: We'll be back!
