They do make a solid cinnamon roll ???? The Salmon & dill omelette was also better than I expected. The portions are huge —every egg dish comes with not one, but two huge sides. I made a mistake with the hot biscuits though, I was expecting southern-style buttermilk biscuits. Whatever this Swedish biscuit was, I wouldn’t exactly recommend it.
First stop after moving to Chicago! Lovely place with a great, welcoming atmosphere. Definitely echo everyone’s feelings about the cinnamon rolls, also had the salmon Benedict which was very good.

Great place with amazing cinnamon rolls.
Got the fantasy French toast, my gf got the crab cakes Benedict. Both were amazing. Also you get a lot of food for the price. Will definitely come back when in the area

It's Ann Sather. Go there for the cinnamon rolls and get a great brunch experience too. Obviously, this place can get busy during peak hours so make sure your party is all there before you try to get seated.

This was a great first experience. It has a family cafe vibe and is orchestrated like your in moms dining room. The cinnamon rolls are a must try. Great service and you get a nice amount of food for the price.

If you love Cinnamon roll, then THIS is the place to go. My kids loved the roll, but I thought stuffed potato pancakes were great as well. Strawberry banana smoothie complemented the meal. Service was fast and friendly. No reservations needed.

Yes yes yes!! This is a must for brunch/breakfast when in Chicago! They are known for their cinnamon rolls so you have to try them! A lot of the plates come with the 2 sides and you can actually do cinnamon rolls and some other great items as sides. It is also BYOB (they provide mimosa fixings) so bring a bottle or 2 of champagne! This location has a target across the street so could also grab some there. Staff was also super friendly!

Whew!!!! I got a lot to say about this phenomenal, little Scandinavian eatery that is now hands down my favorite breakfast spot in the Windy City. It’s got it all - home-cooked meals, friendly service and amazing value! I’m honestly shocked I haven’t heard more about this gem! It impressed my husband and I so much we actually ate here two mornings in a row. Yeah, back to back, same trip. It’s THAT good.
On the first morning we began our meal with a fresh cup of joe ($3.00). We decided to share the Monte Cristo Breakfast (two pieces of homemade French toast topped with a slice of ham and scrambled eggs with Swiss cheese, served with a side of important lingonberries, $14.45). If the description doesn’t make it obvious, this dish is huge. And to add more, it comes with TWO sides, ours being two cinnamon rolls and hash browns. It was SO. MUCH. FOOD. And not only that, but it was so much GOOD food. They hit the mark on both quantity and quality.
Everything blended so well together. This was by far the best version of this famous dish I have ever had. The ham was so perfect, I love it when it’s prepared just right. The egg was super moist and all the way cooked, and there was a very appropriate amount of cheese. The toast is 100% housemade, oh God it was delicious. I could have eaten it by itself.
Day two my husband went full on treat yo’self and ordered the French Toast Fantasy (mascarpone-filled cinnamon rolls battered, grilled and topped with granola and seasonal fresh berries, $12.95). Rachel Ray’s fave! And no wonder - it’s a sugary mess (in a good way). Holy cow this dish can and will satisfy your sweet tooth. Honestly I found it a little overwhelming. It was like sugar, on fat with sugar, and a side of sugar. It was still good but we were only able to stomach a few bites. I think it’s a unique dish, and it’s good but you’ve got to balance it out with something bland, like eggs or plain hash browns. I went simple and just ordered 2 Eggs, Hashbrowns and Seasonal Fresh Fruit ($10.75) and husband ate half of my dish just trying to give himself a break from all the sweetness.
Both days, the real winner of the meals were the cinnamon rolls. You won’t find any like these elsewhere, and you’ll remember them for the rest of your life. Moist, stretchy dough but not tough at all, the absolute perfect amount of cinnamon and the most delicious icing ever! I will remember these forever!!! It’s as close to heaven on Earth as you can get!! They are extraordinary, mind-blowing. I don’t believe there are words in the English language that will try describe how in-love I am and how big of an impression these rolls made on me. You’ll just have to try them for yourself!

I really can't say enough nice things about this place. Staff are great, food is phenomenal, and the cinnamon rolls/buns - HOLY F#@$ they are amazing. I wish I could eat every single item on the menu, but alas I didn't have time. I can't recommend this place enough - it does get packed but it is soooo worth the wait.
