In recent years, there is an explosion of great bakeries in Chicago - amazing ones in many neighborhoods. Aya is definitely one of the best that came on to the scene in recent years. We tried its special Mother’s Day Opera Cake recently and are extremely impressed with the presentation and taste. Highly recommend subscribing to the mailing list for special offers (and of course recommending visiting often for its regular fares)
The samoa cake is divine: moist and flavorful, without being overly sweet. Highly recommend.

Absolutely Delicious. Key lime cream puff was amazing, the key lime flavor really shines through! Samoa donut was also 10/10. I normally don't even like coconut, this was the only exception I have ever had. Shocked by amazing creativity of flavors!

I love Aya!!! We live very close and have a quite a few of their baked goods! The olive bread is amazing (if you can get there early enough to get a loaf) and of course their Samoa cakes, croissants and cake slices, too! So happy to have them in the neighborhood!

We ordered our wedding cake from Aya and it was delicious! We expected to bring some cake home after the reception, but nope, it was so good that there wasn't a crumb left.

Ordered for pickup in the drive thru.
Got the special strawberries and cream cake, rhubarb and elderflower Cruffin, shokupan, and rosemary foccacia.
I’ve had the shokupan before and is doesn’t disappoint.
Extremely fair pricing and friendly service. I highly recommend stopping by.

Have to say I'm very disappointed with the cake and the service. Ordered Mochi cake - extremely dry and chewy with no taste at all. Taste like rubber band.
Black sesame cake: barely no taste of black sesame. Too much butter and cake with few filings. When the server cuts the piece, she couldn't even make it a complete piece - it looks like someone took a bite on the piece :(
Dino macaron: this is better compared to the other two.
Overall I am not recommend this place. Especially because they are overpriced and the server who took my order is not accommodating or friendly at all. She looks so impatient when I asked her questions regarding the bakeries.

Great find! We went first thing in the morning and wet to the drive-through window directly. Overall we were very happy with our selections and the service.
We tried the Kouign-Amann, the Cheddar Scallion biscuit, the Samoa Cake and the Double chocolate cookies. Everything was amazing. The Kouign-Amann was soft on the inside but had a nice crunch on the outside. The Biscuit wasn't your typical "flaky" biscuit but that isn't a bad thing! It had so much flavor and was still nice and soft, while having a little bite.
The Samoa cake was the star of the show! Insanely soft! like softer than a pillow but still has the chocolate, caramel, coconuttiness of the cookie you remember.
Finally, the chocolate cookies. PERFECT! They have the crunch on the outside, soft on the inside. Delicious chocolate flavor everywhere!!!!
You have to stop by here, seriously.

I really love their pastries! Their prices are so fair and I really enjoy eating these pastries. I usually get their butter croissant, banana bread, almond croissant, ham and cheese or something of that sort. There’s parking inside their lot if you need additional parking and it’s pretty nice. They also have a drive through early morning!

Extremely well made croissants. Highly recommend stopping by at the bakery! I have how ordered from this place twice and cannot say enough about not only their safety protocol but also their ability to make the best croissants and breads in town! Try to get there early and choose from a variety of baked goods.
