For our anniversary I took my wife to this restaurant and we ordered two entrees, one starter, one side and a few drinks. The total was around $230.
It was worth it.
The service, especially by our waiter Gary, I was impeccable. I can't remember how many times they cleaned our table but it was a lot. The recommendations were great, the ambience was world class and the overall experience was better than anything we had in Hawaii.
Just a caution, the food might run a little bit salty for some. But I'm not removing any stars because the experience was six stars by itself. If you're thinking of a date night or an intimate group dinner then look no further this is a place for you.
The Blvd offers a Unique and elegant atmosphere that will catch your eye instantly as you walk in. The ambiance is flattering. The soft music, the dim lights, and the candles give it the perfect romantic feel.
The food on the other hand was just OK. There was nothing that made me go I can't wait to come back! Maybe it's just me, but when I spend 500.00 I wanna be like wow!
This place is all for show and looks, if your looking for amazing food try somewhere else!
Party of 5 we dined on!
8oz Rib Eye- If you don't kike Chargrilled flavor don't come here! My friend enjoyed it and it was cooked perfectly!
risotto with asparagus- Very good! Nothing over the top average!
The grouper- Cooked perfectly lacked seasoning!
Lamb chops- Cooked perfectly, nice portion just no unique flavor
Half of the chicken- Juicy yet tasteless
Sides-
Mash - Instant not from scratch
Crab/Corn- Best Side on the menu
Broccoli???? - Taken straight out of the field and added to a plate with no seasoning
Mushrooms- Decent
Mac and Cheese- If you like tasteless cheese this is for you!!
Drinks range from 14.00-20.00
They will hack a service upcharge of 4% of the bill on your ticket and if you don't say anything you'll pay! When asked was told for Covid but yet never told at the beginning!! ????
Overall 7/10 will not come again!
I'm giving 4 stars because it was cute!!

BLVD Steakhouse is an exquisite
American restaurant located in the West Loop of Chicago. As you enter the venue, it feels as if you're in a time machine, taking you back to the glitz and
glamour of the 1920's with a sparkling ambience dripping in crystal chandeliers, black and metallic seating, dim lighting, and an alluring spiral staircase BLVD spares no expense on setting the tone for an elegant evening. The soft music in the background also assists with creating an experience to remember.
Dinner was wonderful! It included: Grilled Octopus, The Crab Cake, Organic Half Chicken and German Chocolate Cake. The cocktail was Churchill's breakfast; my first time trying Scotch! Everything was flavorful, seasoned well, and delicious. The only thing I felt needed a little improvement was the presentation of each dish. I realize this doesn't matter to most people, however, I love all aspects of
fine dining, to include culinary artistry by presenting the food in attractive and creative ways. Nonetheless, this does not take away from my overall experience and I genuinely enjoyed my visit.
I would certainly recommend this establishment for a luxe evening on the town. Perfect for anniversaries, birthdays, dates, or just a night to enjoy delicious
fare in a refined venue.

The French onion soup here was great. I would definitely recommend ordering the steak tartare. Overall experience was okay. The service was extremely slow on Saturday night. Waited 50 mins for a filet mignon to come out the kitchen.

Compared to other steakhouses in Chicago I would not recommend BLVD. The ambiance is beautiful, everyone was very friendly (especially the hostess and the bussers and food runners), our server/the service we received definitely was lacking, the food overall was fine, nothing spectacular. The cocktails were a huge disappointment. I ordered an old fashioned with Bulleit, it was served in a dirty glass (which the bartender should have noticed), it was watered down, unpleasantly sweet, and missing a luxardo cherry - it was the quality I'd expect if someone ordered one from a dive bar...three others in my party ordered different cocktails and said theirs were not good either. By the end of the meal I was wishing we had gone to Swift & Sons or RPM Steak or Perry's where I've always had a flawless experience from start to finish, not only is the food phenomenal, but also the cocktails are made correctly and are amazing (and never once have I been given a dirty glass), not to mention the service is always impeccable. Nothing wrong with BLVD per say, but there are definitely better options for a steakhouse in my opinion. P. S. We told our server we were celebrating our friends birthday that evening and aside from a brief "oh happy birthday" acknowledgment, which seemed very non authentic, that was it - all he had to do was stick a candle in the dessert for her that we had ordered and that small gesture would have gone a long way. It's the little things that make for a memorable experience.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT
Myself and 8 other people visited this restaurant yesterday 3/3/22 to celebrate my sister birthday. The overall experience was terrible. First, when I arrived there was only 1 valet driver with a long line of people also waiting for valet. Secondly, the pork chops I ordered looked undercooked so I politely asked if can have it cooked more so that it’ll be well done. I also politely asked if my lobster Mac and cheese can be taken off because it was gummy and overcooked. As many restaurants that I have been to I’ve learned to never send food back (but you’ll see why in the photo below) I feel it’s a insult to the chef and you never know what a person may do to your food. But I wasn’t go to pay $50 for a undercooked pork chop and $30 for overcooked lobster Mac and cheese. The meat was cooked a little more and brought back out then a little bit later the general manager bought the Mac and cheese out in a bag for me take home. I told the manager that I didn’t want the Mac and cheese he replied very loudly in front of everyone “I know you didn’t want to pay for the Mac and cheese so I took it off your bill but I gave it to you anyway because there’s no point of wasting food” I was humiliated and asked to speak to manager not knowing he was the manager. The issue wasn’t that I couldn’t afford my food, I had already read the reviews and viewed the menu for this restaurant the night prior so I already knew what I wanted to order. I should not be talked down to and humiliated in front of the entire restaurant because the food wasn’t to my liking. The bill came out to $911 with a $25 cake cutting fee that no one mentioned to us. It’s a beautiful place to visit but the manager and the food is terrible. Nonetheless, my sisters and I did not enjoy our evening and it was the worst thing I’ve ever experienced especially coming from a manager.

The ambiance was beautiful, including the music. The food was average. The service was not good at all. I ordered two drinks, a Caesar, crab cake, bone in ribeye, lobster Mac, corn, Brussels sprouts, and a desert. The ribeye (medium) was not hot or juicy which seemed as if it had no marbling. Lobster mac had more of a cream (watery)than cheese. Our server (Jessica) frequently stopped by the table and asked if things were okay. Two of the times i expressed that I was dissatisfied with an item, and both times she just walked away without offering any type of resolutions. I know gratuity is included but jeez! I had high hopes for this establishment , but I’ve never been able to overlook bad service. Especially with a $430 price tag attached to it.

We had a wonderful time!! Our server Jenny G was so great!!! She made our outing feel special and so attentive to our needs. Food was fantastic!! We weren't rush, food came on perfect times! The octopus was delicious, gotta try it!! We also had lobster soup (not best) but tasty. But the 32oz Porterhouse wife and I share was the star of the show! Cook perfectly and slight hint of charged meat, fabulous!!!! No room for dessert but Jenny was so sweet to bring us a little something as we celebrated our anniversary! The decor in the restaurant was beautiful!! A bit hard to see menu in the dark but still very nice ambiance... we will be back...

I celebrated my birthday here. I loved the ambiance, the service was great, and the food was wonderful! I also tried the "Wednesday Whiskey" flight. I will definitely be a return customer.

I was excited to try BLVD for my birthday dinner. I was mostly disappointed. I have to say the service of the staff was excellent⭐, but the food was not that great, especially considering the price.
It was weird to me that they put pork on almost all the side dishes... Mac& Cheese, Cream Spinach, Twice Baked potatoes... excessive pork...that didn't improve the flavor profile ????????♂️.
I had the 20oz Sirloin steak ????. I ordered it medium, it arrived well done with so much char on it I could not enjoy the flavor... all I could taste was burnt crusty char... very disappointed ☹️... I sent the steak ????.
Desserts... the part that should make you the happiest, was sad ????. I had the carrot cake, which was less remarkable than a slice I could get from Jewels or Mariano's... the frosting was platable, but the cake had no taste and was dry... carrot cakes should be moist and spiced... We also had the creme brulee which was tasteless and basic.
Last year me and my friends went to Steak 48 for our birthday dinner and honestly they set the standard high for high end steakhouses, with an amazing steak, delicious desserts and excellent service. I talked about their steak for months and couldn't wait to go back... BLVD did not create that culinary experience and I would not go back.

This place is amazing! Our server Gary was beyond helpful and took amazing care of us. The staff as a whole were great and the food was more than delicious. We were too excited to take all the pics but believe me that all of it is worth it. We will definitely be back sooner than later and recommend BLVD as our favorite steak place!
