I love love love this place. Ordered gluten free gift box for my boyfriend and he won’t stop talking about it. I plan on ordering again for his birthday and seeing if we can get a GF birthday cake made or GF cake jars. My one and only issue is that it is so hard to get into contact with anyone at the bakery. But as a small business I understand one can’t be at the phones all the time. Regardless, she has built a wonderful business - one that makes delicious GF snacks ???? and for that I am grateful.
Had to edit to add that Joanne reached out - she is the sweetest woman. If you received no answer when you call just leave a message she gets back to you very quickly. Her enthusiasm is infectious and I will be a long time customer of this business.

The only thing sweeter than Cake Sweets treats is Jo-Anne - the lovely woman behind it all! Thanks again friend. I needed a sweet gift for a dinner party and Joanne came to the rescue. Absolute hit!

My wife and I hired Jo-Anne and Cake Sweet Food Chicago for our reception wedding cake. We had such a fun time meeting her, trying out cakes at home, and selecting one. All of her flavors are absolutely delicious. Her design work is also gorgeous. My wife and I had a multicultural wedding and Jo-Anne had the wonderful idea of taking the golden henna design from our wedding invitations as an inspiration for the design on our wedding cake. It turned out beautiful!! All of our guests raved about how delicious the cake was. Would really recommend her to anyone.

Cake Sweet Food Chicago made our beautiful wedding cake this summer. Everyone at the company was a pleasure to work with, quick to respond to any emails or questions we had. This was especially nice because we were planning our wedding from afar, and they were very accommodating and helped make everything go smoothly.
Our cake was absolutely beautiful & so delicious. We also had a second smaller vegan cake for my wife and a few vegan guests, which was DELICIOUS!! It's hard to find a vegan wedding cake in Chicago, and Cake Sweet Food Chicago did a fabulous job. Highly recommend for both regular and vegan cakes!

My son is an urban beekeeper and he is turning 30 in quarantine away from his California family! I had to find a great bakery in Chicago and i wanted an amazing and fun cake. Working with Jo-Anne the owner was amazing she was so nice and helpful! She sent me a sample so i could share with my son! So thoughtful!

Absolutely love Joanne she takes full pride in her Baking her buttermilk cake and Mascarpone is absolutely delicious I’ve been. Ordering birthday cakes since the last few years Never Disappointed
takes full passion in her Baking and the Designs of the cakes she makes are absolutely beautiful as well. she is a one of a kind baker in Chicago I highly recommend her not only do they look beautiful but taste great!

We had such a blast working with Jo-Anne! Our venue sent us to her as part of our package so we were uncertain about how it would go. But, after meeting her, seeing her creations and trying her AMAZING flavors, we knew it would be fantastic.
During our tasting, she took the time to learn about us and our wedding. We didn't have a design in mind so it was great to work with someone who actually wanted to incorporate personalized elements. The cake design was spot on - taking inspiration from all different parts of our wedding but still keeping the design clean. Plus, she was able to incorporate our dogs. Then the cake taste... OMG! it was so hard to decide on flavors but, don't worry, you can't go wrong.
So thrilled with having Jo-Anne at Cake as our baker!

Working with Cake Chicago for our wedding cake was truly amazing! From start to finish, Jo-Anne listened to our wants and brought them to life flawlessly. The expertise she brings to the business is perfection and she works with her couples on a level most vendors do not. She also took the time to add in a cute feature to our cake to honor our pets. Our guests continue to not only rave about how beautiful our cake was but also how it was one of the best tasting they’ve ever had. Thanks Jo-Anne!!

Working with Joanne from Cake was truly a dream. She was personable, responsive, and went above and beyond to be helpful in an extremely challenging situation. She helped us with design and selection and even other vendor recommendations. The cake flavors and icings were delicious - even my fiancee (a self-professed "not cake person") loved them. I am grateful for her help and admire the passion she has for the business.

I can’t even begin to describe how accommodating Joanne Buege from Cake was for our Wedding. We got married on July 14th, 2018. We originally started with Bittersweet, but they weren’t open to any of our ideas and really didn’t seem to care. So we decided to try Cake and so very happy and fortunate we made the change. First, Joanne was able to meet with us on a day and time that was most convenient for us, and we were able to easily schedule an appointment without waiting a month. They hosted a great tasting with a wonderful presentation on flavor, structure, and logistics. We absolutely loved Joanne’s extremely creative ideas and appreciated how she balanced our original vision/concept with practicality with a very wide-open mindset. We originally wanted a galaxy cake or sometimes referred to as a mirror cake, one of the first items we dreamed of having when we first started wedding planning. She was able to work off the idea, and even though it was hard to do a multi-tiered cake using that kind of gloss, she offered to make us a separate “sweet-hearts” mirror cake along with the traditional multi-tiered wedding cake that complimented our original concept and wedding theme. We literally got to have our cake and eat it too! We absolutely loved the final result, which made our wedding day that much more special! We definitely recommend Cake!
